Emerald Green Irrigation

They wouldn't give us a time/date after calling multiple times...and finally they told us they didn't have the staffing, and they no longer were servicing Stony Brook and to find someone else. We mentioned we had sprinkler heads under warranty, and they said they are all now null and void, and if we had an issue to contact the BBB. We NEVER will recommend this company to anyone else. We went with Precision Landscaping, who came within the week, AND notified us of multiple sprinkler heads that were broken and were never told to us by Emerald Green.

This past spring it was a constant battle to get a date setup with them. They usually send a form letter when they are available. This is a small operation and the woman ( the owners wife, Lisa) in the office doesn't return calls. She would often take days off leaving the office vacant tying up the business phone. I couldn't get a set date, so I used another contractor this spring, whom I didn't like. I left a message yesterday which was not returned. I called them again today and they refused to do business with me. She stated I always cancelled appointments which I rarely do. I informed them I would do a posting on Angie's List, she then returned my call and left a voicemail stating a nasty message, basically reiterating what she said on the phone as to why they wouldn't do business with me. This was just uncalled for being that I had been a customer of theirs for over 5 years and knowing that I would be contacting Angie's list regardless.

Emerald was here for five minutes, decided that they didn't want to do the job and walked off.

They showed up as scheduled and provided quick service.

It's a very straight-forward process and they send you a letter indicating the date they intend to come out. They're always here when they say they'll be here. Everything has been professional with them.
