Egress windows are designed to be large enough for a firefighter to climb in or a person to climb out of in an emergency. Federal building codes require every basement to have an emergency exit window. Our company specializes in Egress and Masonry work. Installing an egress opening is not a task for your average handyman; it is a job for an expert in the field who knows what to do to and how to do it. The Egress Experts are Licensed and Insured in both Nassau and Suffolk county.

Not very well. This company has questionable practices. I looked them up on Yelp and found others who had similar experiences like mine. They sent a young man out to make an estimate, he seemed pleasant enough until I told him I was having another estimate. He left right after I told him that and turned around as he was walking away and said he hoped I get the cheaper price in a kind of sarcastic way. After that they 'ghosted' me - wouldn't call me back or answer my email. From the reviews, I read this company escalates the labor and vendor costs. For example, one person on Yelp said that he called the vendor and asked them directly if their prices had gone up as high as Egress quoted and he said absolutely not! He said the cost should be around $2,500 - $2,750. Egress quoted 4k!!! Stay away from these guys, I don't think they are on the up and up.
