ProTech Construction

After weeks of searching for a company to install concrete in our back yard, we came across ProTech Construction. We have them a call and got an immediate response to our questions. The owner of the company came out the same day, took measurements, went over the details of what we wanted and gave us an estimate on the spot. My wife and I made some changes to the original plan and Carlos was very understanding and patient with us. He helped us along providing different options and estimates to fit our financial needs.

On the day of installation, ProTech was right on time as promised. They started promptly at 8:30am and by 4pm, the concrete slab was poured, prepped, and set to dry. They were very good at maintaining a clean working environment and left everything spotless. While at my house, Carlos was kind enough to look at some other jobs needed around the home and provided me quick and fair estimates. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a honest and reliable contractor.

It went exceptionally well! Mottling through Angie's list and other "home service" type sites there are so many mixed reviews for any service you are looking to have performed. It is up to the service seeker to attempt to create a truth from what is published and all the extremes in good and bad.
 That being said I had tried contacting others on Angies list to no avail. ironically some of the others I tried to contact even disputed other feed back left that they didnt get messages, phone was broke email didnt work etc I guess its still broke or the reality of to small a job is more likely.  . . .If you don't make an attempt to contact Carlos and his crew at Pro Tech you may be passing up the opportunity to have work done that will exceed your expectations from beginning to end.
 I had Pro Tech rip out and replace my driveway and the walkway to my front door. They both started as blacktop, the walkway went concrete with a paver border and the driveway blacktop again with paver border. Starting with the pavers I was unsure as to the color to coordinate with my home after looking around Carlos made a suggestion that would compliment the multicolored stone on the front of my home as well as the brick work on the rest of the house. It was spot on. . . it really works!
Communication was consistent from pre job estimate through the entire job, any phone call was promptly returned and all questions and concerns were answered and explained even if it meant having to swing by my home at my convenience to give me a full visual representation of the answer/explination.
The day of rip out everything went smooth, my driveway was 4 inches of asphalt as opposed to the usual 1-2'. I'm sure there were extra costs with disposing of this, but that was not passed down to me. Thankfully. There was no damage to my home or the surrounding even though my garage doors were closed on 16' of the surface that needed to be removed.
The perimeter pavers were laid the same day as they ripped. When they started laying out the walk Carlos did not like the way the
6x9 pavers were going to look with the super narrow walkway that I had, one on each side was more than half the width of the walkway. With that they re-dug in the walkway to make it wider so it would be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and still flow up to the front steps as originally planned and did so with no further cost out of pocket to me. That was 20% more concrete for the walkway and not a dime from my pocket. That is the difference between doing things right and doing the right thing!
The pavers were laid by the bricklayer who must have a level built into his hand and his eye as I saw no tools other than his trowel,  they were laid so true its unreal, me being as finicky as I can be when Im paying to have work done grabbed a level and tape measure everything pitched the same from side to side and brick to brick every one was equidistant from each other, right up through the curves in the walk. I do believe my sidewalk was cleaner after they swepped up then before they arrived, im OK with that.
The next day they came to pour the concrete walkway and roll out the blacktop driveway. Again . . . neat. . . neat . . . . neat. Very clean work and even cleaner clean up. There is nothing better than having less of a mess when a contractor leaves then when they started! Rarely the case.

Excellent! They were actually coming to the rescue because the original mason company went MIA after breaking ground. The crew was neat, professional, on time, all of what I expected as a customer. My wife and I both work full time and having security cameras on my property, I monitored progress & activities everyday remotely. This IS the company to use for your job. I don't know if they'll see this, but thank you again for turning around a bad situation! 

P.S.- I put N/A under COST because the contractor for the job hired them.

Everyone remembers Hurricane Sandy, and like many, my house received a substantial amount of damage. There was roof damage, flood damage in the basement. My ceiling in my home office sagged from puddles of water that came through the missing sections of roof shingles. Since I had never been through anything like this before, of course, my first concern was my insurance coverage, but along with the team at Pro Tech Construction and my insurance provider, I was able to roof my home, repair the ceilings in my office, and refinish the floors in my basement with waterproof paint..



The crew proved themselves to be trustworthy in my home, they kept their worksite neat, and they made sure to clean up after themselves. In the end, my home looked as if Hurricane Sandy never happened!

After having a good experience, I made sure to call Pro Tech when my siding blew off after a windstorm. However, this time, my insurance provider was not as helpful. Nevertheless, Pro Tech was able to offer me an affordable solution and repair the siding to my home. It is safe to say that I plan on using them in the future.
