at the beginning mr. harmon was very helpful. he helped us avoid homes that were possibly infested or poorly built. but the minute that we bought a home, and started work, he became voracious in his need to take money as fast as possible while avoiding any accountability. Once we asked for accountability, and went through numbers ourselves, we realized we were being ripped off, with a capital R. The process was so poor, that Mr. Harmon did not get his permit to work in Southampton, NY renewed subsequent a very detailed and multi month process. He never had the permit while doing our work, never mentioned he did not have the permit, and only after we visited a lawyer, did we learn he had no permit to work in Southampton. additionally, because of this job, the application for a renewal of the permit by the town of southampton was denied. this is after hearing both sides of the conflict. we are going to court, and finalizing our own preparation. At one other point, Mr. Harmon tried to have us arrested to taking product that we had paid for, and he had told us to take from his shop. It took the police not very long to conclude that the accusation was false, and warranted to no follow up. In a nutshell Mr. Harmon tried to extort money, when he felt he had the maximum leverage, which was after we had paid him 90+% of the agreed upon amount, and then still little to show for it in the way of completed work. he kept telling us about all this miraculous work going on at his shop, which was nothing more than made up billing for the most part. he overcharged us a significant amount for what should have been a relatively basic project. He also charged us for a project fixing part of our deck, which arguably needed to be fixed, but we never knew about it, until after the work was done. it was never authorized or known to us. that project which we inadvertently paid in full, was not done to code in the town of Southampton. i could go on and on about all types of awful behavior on the part of mr. harmon, but i can only say, DO NOT USE. You will regret it, and it will cost you so much more than you think.
