"Dear [member name removed], I’m very sorry that you weren’t happy with the service we provided. I wish you would have informed us of your disappointment so that we could have addressed your concerns. We stand behind our work and it is our goal to provide excellent service to all of our customers. Had you contacted us we would have taken the opportunity to try and remedy your dissatisfaction. In regard to your mention of a patch, I’m not sure what you are referring to as the only services we provided were sealcoating and crackfiller. I regret that this experience did not meet your expectations and I would very much like to hear from you regarding why you were not happy with my company. Respectfully, Kathleen A. Trong, Pres."
"Dear Ms. [member name removed], It is our policy to provide customers with our honest recommendation. Sealcoating the driveway would have protected the areas that were not deteriorated and I did provide and estimate for that. Crackfiller however, would have increased the quote dramatically and done nothing to prolong the longevity of the driveway. It is unfortunate that you feel as though my honesty was unprofessional, but my company’s reputation is everything to me and I won’t compromise it. I would rather a customer be displeased that we deterred them from wasting their money than to have them unhappy with the final results. In regard to my estimator not speaking to you regarding his findings, as I explained to you on the phone, he left due to an uncomfortable situation that had arisen and he felt it would be best to leave the premises."
"Dear [Member name removed], I am sorry that we were unable to get your work done as quickly as you would have hoped. We have been trying to complete all of our sealcoating contracts to the best of our ability. Unfortunately the weather plays a major role and since Sept. there have been 24 days of precipitation and numerous other days when precipitation was in the forecast. We must also take into consideration the fact that there were customers who accepted their contracts prior to your acceptance on Aug.28th. In fairness we are trying to honor contracts based on their date of acceptance. We have not yet discontinued sealcoating this season and are still trying to fulfill our obligations. It is not unusual for temps to reach well above 50 after October so we are hopeful that all of our sealcoating will be completed. As is our policy, any contract that is not completed this year will be scheduled for completion when our season resumes next Spring. Again I would like to express my sincere apologies that you feel we did not live up to your expectations. Respectfully, Kathleen Trong"
