+ -1 moreThe condensate pump has been a problem from the very beginning. At night it is so loud I cannot get to sleep. I have told More Air numerous times the pump noise is UNACCEPTABLE. They have said repeatedly that is the nature of the pump and it is my tough luck. I have stated numerous times I wanted an new if not different pump. I only recently got a price for the same pump ($300 for the pump, $300 labor to install) and they have finally stated I am NOT the only whom has complained about the pump. Another customer had stated to More Air that after he had the condensate pump replaced, it was still noisy but not as loud. Now I must determine if it would be worth over $600. I wish I had never gone to More Air Mechanical in the first place.
Description of Work: The A/C unit was making a loud rattle-ing noise and a service man came out opened up the unit and said the filter was dirty and would need replacing. He put the dirty filter back and closed up the unit. He charged me for one hour's work yet he spent ten minutes working and fify minutes retrieving a ladder. After he left, the rattling had disappeared; turns out the filter didn't need replacing, it was just loose. When I complained to management about paying over $150 for not much work, they stated if we bought a new filter he would install it for us for no charge. I ordered new filters and the service man came and replaced the filter. The filter didn not look dirty at all. I told the service man the condensate pump was very loud and I wanted a new one. He stated a new one would be just as loud, however he offered to clean the condensate pan and other maintenence and that might make it quiter. I told him to go ahead. He charged me over $500 for this "maintenance" and it did not help the noise at all. The condensate pan was hardly dirty to boot.
