BEWARE!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. I never write reviews, but the experience with them has been so terrible I felt compelled to do so. They stored our items for almost 4 years. When we requested our items back they had “lost” our most expensive items (couch, dining table, rugs, Tumi luggage, etc) that would cost us over $10,000 to replace. Further, given these were our largest items it would have cost us materially less to store with them as it wouldn’t have been as much space. They are only offering us $1,000 to compensate us for this, which is ridiculous. I don’t care what their protection plan says. After paying $10k+ of storage fees over the 4 years to find out they weren’t actually storing many of our large and expensive items, you make your customer whole. Guess doing right by the customer is not important to this company. Clutter and Iron Mountain, a $25 billion market cap company and who owns Clutter, you should be ashamed of yourself!!

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE CLUTTER! Clutter lost our stuff and is refusing to pay anything other than $80 total which is their own estimate on the damage and not the real value of our goods they destroyed and lost. They destroyed our queen size mattress (paid around $800) and actually tried to deliver it to us in that condition. They lost my husband's collectibles valued at about $1,000. They lost my kid's ikea kitchen ($99 ON SALE and $180 regular price) and ikea train set (we had a huge one that goes throughout the entire house probably about $250-350). Plus a bunch of family stuff like our tent, bathroom and kitchen stuff, clothing and so on. The worst is that we're currently being blackmailed that in order to receive our family memorabilia box (that they allegedly have now found) we have to first sign their documents which claim that they delivered everything to us. So... Go figure. One thing is sure, we wish someone warned us about Clutter. Also we initially signed a contract that said our delivery would be free, but then we were charged $250 for the delivery. I never even authorized the payment.

Probably the worst company to ever exist. If you want to never see half your belongings and the half that you do receive back all be damaged, use this company. I had my whole life stored here while I had to relocate for a bit; my two tvs are non repairable, the dresser is completely destroyed on the outside and inside (I can’t even open it), my nightstands, my mirror, neon sign, bed frame. And for the stuff that they lost, they will tell you they “scanned” the item upon return, so therefore it is not clutter who lost it. I guess my table and chair and everything else grew legs and ran away! Oh, and the best part is after I filled out my claim, they offered me $82 compensation. I want this awful company to kick rocks so they can’t do this to others. Worst. Company. Ever. I know many people with the same experience as me. Do yourself a favor and use any other company; I can’t imagine there being a worse company to work with. Basically paid over $400 a month for a door to door garbage truck is how I feel about this company. And any food review you see is 100% fake and comes from people that work at this trash company!

I hired Clutter moving to move my 2 bedroom apartment in Jersey City, NJ to about 20 miles northwest of the city in Bergen County. The Clutter movers sent 2 trucks and 5 people for a 1,200 sq ft apartment for a relatively attractive price ($359 per hour). We had about 80% of the apartment already packed with Clutter to take care of the kitchen and all large items packed for us. We originally agreed on a small package, but upgraded to the full packing plan (additional $199). Here is where Clutter falls short. While the kitchen was packed beautifully and took a rather long amount of time - the rest of the packing items seemed to have missed the mark. We had several painting and canvas items bent, small plastic drawers broken, and even a monitor (that they packed) completely smashed and no longer working. When submitting a claim - we learned that even though that they packed the item, it was not covered. In no time during the packing was this made known that the packing plan was NOT covered. So, for example, if they packed your $5,000 TV and broke it - tough luck! Not a good look Clutter. All in all - it took 9 or so hours for the move (this included an hour of travel) where they did not unpack anything (this was not included) but did put together any furniture they disassembled. I tipped the team well and they went off. It wasn't until the day after unpacking the many boxes and bubble wrap that we found the damage to our items. Let me be clear that the team worked incredibly hard to move us. They, all in all, did fantastic, they just were not as careful as they should be. The problem here lies with the communication and customer service. Their basic plan covers "$1 per pound" which is apparently $18 for a $500 monitor that I now have to replace. I recommend getting the insurance policy even if they do everything for you because somehow, they dont cover their own work.

It was a seamless move that was completed on time. Our experience was excellent and recommend Clutter highly.

I was moving from one part of Brooklyn to another, with narrow stairs on both ends. They were very fast and efficient, good rate, helped with items that were tough to pack, super friendly guys. Would recommend.
