I was looking to purchase an old home to restore and had asked several friends for recommendations but it seemed that none of them were happy with their contractors. I was looking for someone who could focus on restoration as well as renovation. It was important to me that I preserve as much of the historical and architectural character of my home as possible. I googled home restoration contractors and found a handful but only one actually answered the phone when I called. At the time I was still looking for a property. Steve offered to meet me at the home to provide his advice and a project estimate to help determine feasibility. Actually as it turned out I passed on that property but when the next potential project arose I called on him again. He spent a considerable amount of time again helping me to assess the project but again I passed. Several months went by and again another property caught my eye. I called Steve a third time to help me assess…a 1914 bungalow that was in need of complete renovation. If it weren’t for his confidence I don’t think I would have moved forward. The project turned out to be full of challenges as one would expect. Without his perseverance and creative ingenuity I don’t think I would have survived. When I look at the before pictures and then see what I wake up to every day I am still stunned. There were many friends and family members that thought I should simply demolish the home and start from scratch and I love to see their faces when they walk through and marvel over the little details that Steve expertly crafted. The great thing is that I didn’t just find a trusted contractor I actually made a friend in the process and I think that says a lot about his character. Unlike most contractors that I want to kick to the curb as soon as they finish a project…I have asked Steve for his advice on other projects and he will continue to be my contractor of choice for all projects both big and small. A big thanks to Steve from Darling Restoration and his Crew for a job well done!

What a terrific job they did, it was top notch work from beginning until end. The owner Mr. Pattinson explained every step / detail throughout the project, He was a true professional, and a very talented carpenter with great ideas. This is the 2nd project my husband and I have done on our condo. We were recommended by a friend of ours to talk with Darling Restoration& Building.  When we had the owner come to meet us, we were pleasantly surprised to  learn that Steve has been building for 50 years with hands on experience, a lot different from some of our other experiences. Darling Restoration's quality work and professionalism exceeded our wildest dreams. What we really loved was that Steve was there everyday with is crew. His crew was very knowledgeable and courteous and punctual. I'd highly recommend Darling Restoration to any of my friends for any construction project.  Very simply an excellent contractor.

We have had several renovation projects done at our home over the past few years and our latest total kitchen rehab was done by Darling Restoration & Building. In short they were the best we've experienced from the owner Steve who did more then he promised he was at the job every day helping the crew and he went out of his way to keep our costs down and working with us on extras when they arose the crew was very professional and extremely competent in every facet of building. Steve's 50 yrs of hands on experience showed itself throughout the project. In the future we won't have to go any further then to Steve and his crew for any projects we need done A quality company providing a quality service
