From the beginning to the end, Mariann was on top of the project. Even when it turned out we didn't have enough laminate, all I had to do was wait for a further order. She took care of coordinating delivery and the return of the crew to install it. The crews she engaged for the three steps (vinyl, laminate, carpeting) were considerate, knowledgeable and industrious, getting their respective jobs done on time. She apologized for the inconvenience (and didn't charge me anything more), and offered to work with me on the future purchase of an area carpet in that room, when I am ready.
The kitchen floor was the most difficult, owing to wooden sills that were flush with the linoleum. This meant that, upon removal of the existing linoleum, the layer underneath had to be scraped off the floorboard. This involved using power tools which kicked up a powerful amount of dust. The cleanup took me three days, as there was a coating of this dust on absoluvely everything in the kitchen, and a dusting of in adjacent rooms as well. I washed down everything, including boxes of pasta and bottles of spices in my pantries, and vacuumed the walls. It prompted me to finish painting the pantry interios, which had to be emptied (the only reason I didn't paint them with the rest of the kitchen earlier this year!), and this kind of propelled me into spring cleaning the likes of which the house hasn't seen in years. Not a bad thing, really. So glad I started with the kitchen, in retrospect, since I would otherwise have been mopping and vacuuming new laminate and carpet in adjacent rooms!
Overall, I was extremely pleased with her help, and am very happy with the result. I felt their pricing was lower than the competition I perused - which included Home Depot, Lumber Liquidators and Custom Carpet Center. [As an aside, I paid $35 to have HD measure my floors, as they had a Pergo laminate I was certain I wanted, which I mentioned to the woman who set up the measure. When I got the quote call, they couldn't give me a price, because the laminate was DISCONTINUED!! So, I basically threw $35 away. I cancelled the quote at the store, explaining that the material I wanted was no longer available, and they didn't offer to return my fee. Not happy about that. After all that,I wasn't about to have them install carpeting at a cost that included a $9 per stair charge - !! ]

The were personable and explicit about their timetable and explained exactly what to expect and when. They also did great work and we were pleased with the end result.

I ordered it at store and the store called me when the moldings were delivered to the store. I picked the moldings up from the store.

I wanted to carpet multiple rooms, but they only had one remnant that would work size wise, so I bought the one room. I went back a few days after install to find more, and found another one for over $600. I then tried to use a coupon for $100 off a purchase of over $1199, and they would not let me since I didn't buy the two carpets on the exact same day. It was ridiculous - I would have if they had them in stock.

They had done three estimates, they were 2000 cheaper than the highest and 1000 cheaper than from the middle. Everything went perfectly, they came when they said they were going to come and they brought it three guys and didn't screw around, got right to work. Got there at 8 in the morning and were done by 4 in the afternoon with the clean up and everything.

I called manager Mike Matysiak on Tues to see how long it would take to get carpeting once I ordered it. I had a problem with another carpet company and my house was without carpet and in total disarray for over a month. He told me that if I chose something in stock, he could have it installed by the end of the week. I found beautiful carpeting at a great price that was exactly what I wanted and it was in stock! My carpet and padding were installed that Saturday morning by 3 very professional gentlemen. They were friendly and polite and cleaned up when they were finished. They also helped my husband move some furniture and rip out carpet in one bedroom without charging us anything additional. I would highly recommend Carpet Factory Outlet for all your flooring needs!

Overall, the experience went well from the carpet sales to installation of a room and a raised platform. The sales person at the Transit Rd location was professional and patient but was matter-of-fact. He was confident that the prices of the store were the best. The prices were good compared to other stores. However, the carpet selection was not as extensive. There was a misunderstanding with the carpeting of the room and the raised platform. Both were to be carpeted but on the schedule day of installation, the crew had less carpeting than needed, delaying the installation. That same day, we worked with the sales person to clear up the miscommunication and to correct the error. At the end of the meeting with the sales person, the final cost of the carpeting was higher than the original because more was needed. Although there was an error, the sales person was able to address and resolve the problem without charging an additional cost for the miscalculation and miscommunication. The following day, the carpet installation went smoothly. The gentleman who installed the carpet was fantastic - very professional but friendly and clean. He did the custom carpeting on the raised platform beautifully. The gentleman spent ~ 4 h alone completing the job. An unexpected event was that the installation took place earlier than scheduled (carpeting was scheduled to be done in the afternoon, but the installer called and arrived in the late morning). Even with a couple of the miscommunications, we are pleased with the sales person and the carpet installer. For future rug and carpet purchases, we plan to return there.

The only problem I had with the service was that they was late. They told us that somebody we be out there by 3 and they didnt come to our home until 6. They ended up leaving our house by 9. As you can tell it was a long day. Just for the record they did have some trouble with a job before mine which cause their tardiness. Regardless of that, they still ended up doing a good job. When they did come, they went striaght to work. They removed the old "ugly" carpet and put it in the brand new carpet that included padding. The whole experience was ok, I just wish they came on time.

Carpet Factory Outlet sent their best crew because mine was a difficult job. They had to split one piece of carpet for two rooms with no seems and they did a great job.

Carpet Factory hastily laid the carpeting on the stairs and left gaps between carpet edge and baseboards and then burned the seams in the hallway. Although they later repaired these flaws, their poor attitude and shoddy workmanship was very frustrating.

Carpet Factory Outlet was very professional and friendly to deal with. They explained to me what they were going to do before they did it. The final costs were close to their estimates. They completed all work in a timely manner for me.
