I took the motor and control box to Dunkirk Electric Motor Repair and they found the motor start relay to be bad. Due to its age, a replacement part was unavailable. They were able to modify the controller with a newer type of relay, and my saw runs like new - probably for another 40 years. The repair wasn't cheap, but a lot cheaper than a new saw.
