NCC STUDIO ARCHITECTURE

DO NOT USE - Very unprofessional, rude and does not deliver when he says he will. I was in the middle of finalizing my minor renovation plans when we found some issues with the structural beams in the basement our home. Obviously, any renovations had to placed on hold until we fixed the structural problems. My contractor recommended that I use Niall Cain, architect and sole owner of NCC Studio. At first, I had some reservations about using him because I felt a structural engineer might be all that I need to fix the problem - but I thought if things worked out with the architect I could use him for my larger renovations in the future. When I spoke to Niall, I told him that it might be overkill for him to work on this since it was not a big enough job and that perhaps hiring an engineer might be best. He assured me that he could add value because of my plans for future renovations and came over to look at the structural issues. He then said he was going to email a proposal right away and that my current contractor should be able do the work at hand. This was early morning Wednesday, April 22nd. When I received nothing by Sunday, I left a message on his answering service checking to see if he sent the proposal or was going to send it - because I had issues with people before sending it to the wrong email address. When I did not hear from him by Monday afternoon, I decided to give him a call again. He replied that I will receive the proposal by the end of day. So when I received nothing on Tuesday, I called him again to ask if he had sent it. He then in the most unprofessional and rude manner told me that he was really getting annoyed because I had called him three times to ask for the proposal and he didn't see why there was such urgency? Obviously, I got upset because of his rude and callous manner and when I was relaying to him that it had been a week and I was anxious to get the structural work done - so that I could get my renovations started - he hung up on me. I don't know who this guy thinks he is but you can be assured that all my neighbors and friends in the area will never hire him.
