I have received numerous compliments on my bathroom & lavatory renovations. Yes, it was pricey but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I've seen work from a couple of big box stores and could see the difference in the products. NY K & B worked with me when I found a commode that they did not carry; they adjusted the price on their product.
I normally do not give reviews, however, after reading some posts I decided to balance the negative comments with my experience. Maybe my experience was due to my contractor's and Chris' collaboration ..........bottom line, I benefited from the experience and that is why I decided to update my downstairs bath too!
"[member name removed], First off, I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to help out with your remodeling project. We are always striving to give our customers the best experience possible and I am glad that we were able to deliver that experience to you on this job. In regards to Christine, I know that she put a great deal of effort into making sure that everything on your job was perfect so she deserves most of the credit for making that happen. Again, thank you so much for your kind words and we look forward to helping you out with any future remodeling projects. Many Thanks Anthony"
I guess more than anything, I had the impression that this company was not at all interested in my project. I felt the salesman just wanted me to pick something and get out of there. Since we were buying literally everything for my new bathroom - floor tile, wall tile, tub, sink, vanity, etc., etc. - I was looking for a little more personal attention - at least the illusion that the salesman was excited by my project.
"[Members Name], First off, I appreciate your feedback on your recent experience with us. While we are always striving to provide everyone with a great remodeling experience, there are instances where sometimes we do fall short in some areas. In regards to the pricing, the contractor that you selected to perform the work purchased all of the materials for your job from our store. Since they were the ones making the actual purchase of the materials, by law, we are only allowed to discuss specific pricing with them. We do have instances where some contractors will provide customers with a certain material allowance and there are certain product selections that are offered that fit into that allowance. It appears that this may be the situation that you are referring to and this is information that only your contractor can provide you with. As far as the issue with the countertop, I wish that you would have contacted us earlier about how upset you were about your whole remodeling experience. We have invested quite a bit of time and effort into developing a customer service department that does nothing but make sure that everyone has a great experience here at our store. On your particular issue, the countertop that was initially selected from our showroom was a product called Avonite, out of their “Translucent” series. At the time of your order, unknown to us, that particular color that you selected was no longer available. We made several attempts to try and find your original selection, however our supplier could not produce any material that matched the original sample. At the end of the day, I realize that you ended up settling for a product that was a little different than what you originally had wanted, but I want to convey that we did try to do everything that we could in order to rectify the situation and the countertop that you did receive was of a high quality. Unfortunately, sometimes these instances with our suppliers do occur and there are certain situations that are out of our control. Once again, I do apologize for everyone here at New York kitchen & Bath that we were unable to provide you with the best remodeling experience possible. With Apologies Anthony."
