 + -1 moreThe tension was off on my sewing machine; it kept losing the tension and giving me garbled knots instead of a smooth seam. The repairman at Sewing Sisters said it needed a general service (oiling, etc.) and that he would adjust the tension. After the service, I picked it up and took it home and without changing anything, tried to sew--and it did exactly the same thing it had been doing. I took it back, and they called the next day and said that there was nothing wrong with it. When I picked it up the second time, they tried to tell me that I'd threaded it wrong, but since I had left it threaded the way they had it, that made no sense. I know that it works properly off and on, so apparently it worked for them, but it has not been fixed. I do not like giving bad reviews. If they had told me that they couldn't fix it, I would have accepted that, but it is clearly untrue that "there's nothing wrong with it"!
