Vicki came to our home while we were renovating it, because I was hoping she would tell us what we should focus on. For example, what do potential buyers in our price range seem to want most - things like that. She walked around our house saying she liked what we were doing and to just get it neat. This was when we were renovating, so there was a lot of dust and paint around - as if we wouldn't clean up after ourselves. She initially told us we could sell our house for about 220,000, then she came back another time and told us that her first estimate was 30,000 over and our house would sell at 190,000. She showed us "comparable" houses, but the houses she showed us had less square footage and a lot less land. We decided that perhaps she wasn't the person to sell our home.

I gave them a commission when I sold my house. They did what a realtor needs to do to get the deal done. She followed through on everything; she was tenacious but not in my face. She was very thorough in making sure that everything got done on time. As far as the price, I felt I got as much as I could get out of it considering the market and the condition of the house.
