G & R Auto Repair Shop

Beware, this shop is a rip-off. All good reviews prior to 2017 do not apply because the shop is under new management now. They charged me more than $300 to replace a battery: 142.95 for the battery, $105 to check the car's charging system (!), 31.50 for the labor, plus tax. Avoid these guys. Even if they were honest, their labor cost is $105 per hour, which is way out of line for the area.

We were able to have the car towed on a weekend to George's shop.  The car was ready by close of business on Monday.  Cost is less than what the dealer would have charged.

G R Auto was recommended to me by a friend as apparently they have extensive experience with Honda's.  Being the owner of a 'classic' (term loosely used for my 1985 Honda Prelude), I figured that I could have my car towed there after a failed attempt at a DIY repair of my exhaust.  They were able to fit me in in a timely manner, however, they seemed to give me a bit of attitude regarding why I had attempted to do the work myself in the first place and how badly I had 'screwed it up'.  I did not consider this to be very professional.
On top of that they noticed that my radiator had cracked, and as a result would need replacing.  The radiator and service alone ran nearly $600, which I considered to be quite expensive since I could source a radiator on my own for about $150.
I also had to follow up with the shop in the end twice to check on the status of the work performed.  Normally I appreciate when I can trust a shop to follow up with me when the work is complete.  In the end the work performed was adequate, but I felt I had overpaid and would probably not return.

Prompt and reliable!  I couldn't be happier with GR Auto Repair!  I will definitely be a return customer and I highly recommend them to any Honda owner!

He is very thorough and he knows a lot about cars.  I will continue to use him in the future.

This was our third time at G & R.  I pulled in with a flat tire.  George checked it immediately, explained the problem, gave me the choice about adding a second tire, and did a careful replacement. G & R prices may be a bit high, but I like leaving with absolute confidence in the work done.

They are generally reliable. They are responsive and timely. 

We've been going to George as our sole mechanic for years. In that time, we have never had a car break down on the road. He is big into preventive maintenance and it shows. Our vehicles are tip top mechanical shape.

I was listened to, treated respectfully and given an estimate for the job. I gave the go ahead and the job was done well, on time and for the amount he had estimated. The office was easy to work with, credit cards were accepted as payment and their hours were accommodating. I have since stopped back to ask questions and they have all been answered without hesitation and free of charge.

We have used GR Auto service faithfully for many years now. They always do a professional and careful job. I trust that they'll watch for maintenance issues that I may not be aware of. They always explain what needs to be done and why. If something isn't urgent, they don't try to sell you the service just to get more business. We've also bought several used cars from GR. They always stand by their cars and provide outstanding service. I wouldn't trust my car and safety to anyone else.

IT'S GOOD. I DON'T HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT BUT I DO RECOMMEND IT. HE DOES A PROFESSIONAL, VERY THOROUGH JOB. I THINK HE CHARGES TOO MUCH. MY HUSBAND HAS DONE SOME CAR REPAIRS HIMSELF AND HE THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE TOO HIGH. WE'VE BEEN GOING TO THIS GUY FOR YEARS AND MY HUSBAND TRUSTS WHAT HE DOES.
