I provide quality plumbing services for the consumer. I have no employees, I am the owner and perform all the work. I use subcontractors for things that I don't do tile, carpentry, drywall, electrical, etc. I let my pros handle their areas of expertise. I am licensed in the City of Albany, the City of Schenectady and the Town of Niskayuna. I carry both Worker's Compensation Insurance & General Liability with $2,000,000 in coverage.

It went very well. Mark responded promptly to my request for a quote. He gave me the option to text pictures of old heater or schedule time for him to come to my house to evaluate. We chose to text pics. Mark responded within hours with a reasonable price. He worked around our schedule and came out at the time promised. He did great work and even cleaned up the water that leaked out from our old water heater. The unit looks good and has been functioning well. Mark was very professional. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent job at a reasonable price. Professional, knew exactly what to do without going overboard and replacing things that don't need to be replaced. I had an old cast iron sewer pipe that completely broke 2 inches below the ceiling. Mark was able to repair everything without having to go in the second floor and rip out walls since this pipe runs all the way from the roof into the basement. I will call Almindo Plumbing with any plumbing issue.

It was great.
Mark Almindo cut a hole in our wall opposite the shower because we had no access panel. The work was neat, quick, clean and precise. He replaced the innards of the shower and had everything put back together within about two hours. We think his work was great quality, he was pleasant to deal with, and I don't think that he tried to upsell us on any repairs or services that we didn't need.
I thought that the price was reasonable, and I would call him again for future plumbing repairs.

I noticed the leaks on Sunday evening and emailed Mark via Angie's List. He responded within the hour and we set up a time for him to come by the following morning. He arrived on time and assessed the situation. The leak under the sink was repaired fairly easily and no mess was left. The other leak was more extensive. My house is on a slab and the leak was coming from the main line. Rather than chance removing the old, rusted threaded connection and having it break, Mark explained the possibilities of what was going on and what might need to happen. Worst case, the plumbing from the shutoff to the house will need to be replaced and that's not something he handles so he provided a referral. Mark was courteous, honest, and professional. I would not hesitate to call him again if needed.

Mark Almindo replaced our basement sump pump. He came out to our home immediately to replace our defective sump pump. Mark has done work at our home on three separate occasions and always performs clean, quality work above our expectations. We are fortunate to have found such a reliable, quality plumber.

Mark went above and beyond our expectations when he came to fix our kitchen faucet. He discovered a defect in the water lines of the faucet and called the faucet manufacturer (Moen) for us. Mark sent Moen a picture of the defect and had a new faucet sent out immediately, which was under warranty. He saved us a lot of time and money.
Mark also installed a new water heater and expansion tank in our basement. He replaced and sealed the vent of the water heater which was poorly sealed....originally. Again, above and beyond!
Mark is very pleasant and professional. He always finds time to returns our texts or calls. I would highly recommend Almindo plumbing.

Mark was great. He came out within 2 hours on a Saturday and fixed our toilet quickly. He was very professional and did a fantastic job. He was very neat and did not leave any mess. Mark went out of his way on a Saturday to get the correct part to fix the toilet the right way. I would recommend Mark and Almindo Plumbing.

After leaving Mark Almindo a voice mail, he responded quickly. I gave Mark the particulars with regard to the leaky faucet, as well as the ceiling below, and indicated that we had shut the water off at the main, because there wasn't anywhere else to turn it off. (Gotta love 1940-50's homes) Mark asked if I was going to be home, then for my address, and indicated that he'd be here as soon as traffic would allow. (I was so relieved he was coming so quickly!!) Once Mark arrived and assessed the situation, he explained what the scenarios could be once he got it apart.... As it turned out, it was the easier fix. Mark was THE BEST!! Responsive. Professional. Clean. Kind. Understanding. Reasonable...I could go on. I now have a great plumber that I can count on even in an emergency...Thank God!

We have used the larger Albany plumbing companies for years. Although they charge top dollar, the service we've received has often been disappointing. I believe this is, in part, because their plumbers come and go and we seldom see the same face more than once. Consequently, the service is impersonal, the plumbers don't know the setup in our house, and they are often inexperienced. Recently we needed a new hot water heater, as well as some other plumbing work done in our finished basement, so I turned to Angie's List and decided to give Almindo Plumbing a try. This turned out to be a really good choice and, for the first time, I feel I've found a plumber who is both extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Not only that, but Mark Almindo is a true professional; he's straight forward, courteous, responsive, and obviously takes great pride in doing a good job. I highly recommend him.

I called Mark on Friday and he called me back later that day. We set up a time for him to come give an estimate on Monday. Mark came Monday and gave an estimate. I agreed to the price and Mark said that he would return on Tuesday to do the work. Mark returned on Tuesday at the time he said he would. He completed the work in the time he quoted and at the price he quoted. The work done was exactly what I wanted and I was happy with the price. Overall using Almindo plumbing was a great experience and I would recommend Mark and would hire him again.
