PERFORMANCE TOWING & REPAIR

He took 6 weeks to do the work in the first place  He continuously told me he had another job come in he would get on it tomorrow.  When I did get my car back he never inspected it and I took it to another inspection company and he did even do the work.  I paid $688 for work he never did.  I have paper work from the other mechanic that shows he never did the work.  I am in the process of taking him to court.  In today’s economy you can’t afford to pay for work twice, which is exactly what I have to do.  If I hadn’t taken it to someone else to have it inspected, I wouldn’t have known until things started to go wrong again.  He put a silicone seal around the water pump instead of replacing it.  I had bought the water pump for my son to replace, but when my son saw the serpentine belt he didn’t want to mess up my car which is why I went to a mechanic.  My boyfriend’s boss is who recommended this mechanic and he still couldn’t do the work.  I really didn’t think we would have issues since this mechanic was recommended to us.  He didn’t even do it in a timely manner.  The only reason I got my back when I did is because I had to have my car back for Easter weekend and I pointed out that he had my car for 6 weeks.  He was rude as well.  We took the car back to prove the work hadn’t been completed, and he asked us to never bring our cars back again or we would get arrested.  AutoZone had even paid him for the ball joints.  They were under warranty and he was supposed to replace both he only replaced one.
