bad...very bad. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. He will be hearing from my lawyer. I had extensive water damage in the bathroom and bedroom to where they needed to be ripped out and completely redone. I have pictures. 1st. Water Heater - 1-the hot and cold are backwards 2-it’s cross threaded 3-only one steel line 4-burnt the element up 2. Taping job - you can see thru the paint; wasn't sanded before it was painted 3. Trim work - gaps ALL OVER the place. No trim up behind the bathroom door. He quoted me a price of 3600.00 to replace 5 windows. When i went to another contractor for a quote because it seemed too high he knocked off almost 1000 to try to keep the windows with him. I"m sure it's because he didn't want another Contractor to see his work. New Contractor just started today - i'm sure more pictures etc will be coming

Requested gutter cleaning through Angie's List. I received a voicemail from Stephen at Upstate General Contracting. I called him back shortly and he agreed to come the next day at 3 pm to do the job. The next day when he did not appear by 4 pm, I called him. He did not answer the phone. I left a message and he never called me back.

My husband found Dan at the local convenient store and told him our first roofer had walked off the job. This was a Saturday morning. They came right down and looked at the roofing to finish and said right away on the spot they would take care of us. Sunday afternoon Dan called to give us an estimate. Over the next four days the job was done. They were here every morning on time and finished late in the day, cleaned up everything, were polite, listened to our needs and concerns and addressed every single question and concern. Dan worked without a contract with us- which was of course a bit stupid perhaps on both our parts but this is a man who stands by his word and his work. He works hard as does his colleagues. Though I had trepidations with no contract and we were burned by the previous roofer, Dan quickly put us at ease. I would hire this man and his crew in a heart beat.
