"We explained to [Member Name Removed] when we took over his home service that he'[Member Information Removed] got an extremely shady property with many large trees. This makes it difficult to keep the lawn thick, and once it thins, weeds invade. We're sorry that Mr. [Member Name Removed] is unhappy with the service. But it is important to note he continues to use us to service his office and has been a client for more than 5 years."

"The customer requested three services, and specifically mentioned they wanted the first service before memorial day, which was done the Friday of memorial day weekend. What the customer failed to recognize was that weather plays a factor, and when Long Island was in a sustained 90 degree heat wave (2016 had more than 41 days in the 90s, vs. 5-10 traditionally), it unfortunately impacts the timing of our services and our ability to treat the property as treating in these temps can cause damage to the lawn and landscape. We tried to explain that to the customer, but he was unwilling to understand or have any kind of constructive conversation. He prefers to yell, scream and threaten rather than work through something in a constructive manner. As for the refund, we discounted his initial price for the customer and they agreed to pay in full. Our cancellation policy clearly states that discounted prices are non-refundable, however, we agreed to make an exception and refund his money due to his confrontational approach and demeanor. To summarize, the client had two services, one on 5/27 and the second on 6/30, both before the weekend holidays, not 10/24 as the customer indicates. Further, the customer was not willing to discuss things like an adult, but rather feels that screaming and yelling and threatening with social media is a better way to get things done. We've all dealt with individuals like this and it's impossible to meet common ground with someone who is unreasonable and only is concerned with stomping their feet and getting what they want. We tried very hard to accommodate them and in the end, despite a written refund policy stating he was not entitled to a refund, we agreed to return their money. We are a market leader in this category, and have a large following due to our customer service and our fair pricing. We service more than 500 homes and have many other very positive reviews, but unfortunately, it's clear you cannot please every single person. Mr. [Member Name Removed] feels its most appropriate to damage a local business than to try and work out a comprised solution to any problem. I wish him luck with his next service provider."
