SHAME ON THEM!!! My elderly mother purchased a countertop with installation through Home Depot. Home Depot which states they only use qualified and insured third parties majorly missed the mark by using King Tops. They defectively put together the countertop as the manufacturer and Home Depot Kitchen Pros themselves even confirmed with me directly. King Tops desperately looked for any way out by trying to make their mistakes and negligence our fault. When they saw the damages themselves firsthand after being invited to the home for an inspection... Jay from King Tops admitted it was "bad judgement" but followed it by saying "everyone is entitled to a bad day". Hopefully Home Depot rethinks their relationship with them sooner than later. My mother is heartbroken now because she had saved up to do this and now she is going to be out even more money to correct the disaster that was created. I strongly advise using someone else for a kitchen countertop project but if you do use Home Depot, ask about the third parties contracted by them and if they are using King Tops for the project, my advice... RUN!!!!

Home Depot was not helpful at all. I asked Home Depot if they would send a contractor to build some cabinets and reface others, as well as paint a bathroom and fix closet doors.
A friend Home Depot to me. They said that they do not send out contractors - even though a telephone operator said that they would reface cabinets. I then asked several people at Home Depot if they could recommend a contractor. Home Depot had recommended a contractor to one friend and another spoke with a contractor who he met while the contractor was shopping at a Home Depot.

Our experience was very good. Since we were in a hurry, Home Depot was a good place to go since they do have a selection, though limited, of carpet that is available very quickly. The installers that HD contracts with for installation, called U.S. Carpet, did an excellent job. They called to make sure everything was satisfactory and left us a number to call in case we needed to report on any problems. The HD salesman, Vinnie, did everything he could to make sure we got the benefit of all the various price promotions that were going on at the time, even figuring in an additional one AFTER we had made the decision to buy. The only problem we had was that because of all the promotions, and one or two last minute minor changes, the calculation of exactly what we owed was quite complicated. We think they were off by maybe $2.00 - very insignificant in the big picture. We definitely saved $ by going this route, the carpet looks very nice, and it's a kind that should wear well.

THIS WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME. THEY FINISHED THE JOB WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES VERY WELL.
