COOPER TILE

The Tile job Ron Cooper Installed for me appeared OK, until 2 months after installation on 07/17/08,a contractor repairing plumbing, dropped a tool on his drop cloth which was covering my Kitchen floor. The tool made a strange popping noise when it hit the cloth. When the contractor left, I checked the Tile floor and noticed not only did 1 tile have cracks in it, but also tiles near this area and in the traffic areas had grout separating or cracking from the tile. Also I noticed the grout is separating or cracking at most of the perimeters of all the rooms/areas that were tiled 05/05/08. Now the problem gets worse each day - with more and wider cracks. I called Ron Cooper about this a couple times, since he was working out of state for a month he said he'd send a tile co-worker. The tile installer he recommened and 4 other installer who have seen this job all agree THE KITCHEN FLOOR WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED OVER 2 VINYL FLOORS & 2 UNDERLAYMENTS AND INSTALLED WITHOUT CEMENT BOARD OR TIGHTING THE 1925 SUBFLOOR. ALSO SPECIAL GROUT -CAULK SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED AT ALL PERIMETERS OR EDGES IN ALL AREAS THAT WERE TILED. On my 2 message I received from Ron Cooper, 1 call prior and 1 call after his tile setter friend examined the job, Ron insists the problem was traffic (walking) on the floor before it was set - not possible because a.) only 2 people live here and we stayed off marked tiles he instructed us to. b.) all installers disagreed with his reason for the problem.
