Russ Ward is very good at selling his services and product. However his work is of poor quality. I hired Russ and his wife at Angelos Southern tier Spray Foam to spray our new addition and the ceilings (roof) of the vaulted ceilings that we did in conjunction with our addition. We also had them spray under the floors of the same area in the crawl space. Not only is the foam very inconsistent (1 in some areas and 6 in others) he completely missed some areas of the floor in the crawl space. Most importantly much of the rim joists in the crawl space are not covered at all. So now, I have a warm and humid crawl space area with the rim joist exposed to the cold. The condensation on the rim joists is soaking wet. My newly constructed addition is already molding. When I called Russ to have him come back to deal with the issue he told me that he would be there that same day or the next day. He did not show up. A few days later I called again and he told me that he would be there Tues. or Wed of that week. Again, he did not show. I had turned down the opportunity to work a couple of those days that I waited for him to come. So, about a week after that I called again he assured me that, in his words **I am not dic****g you around. Then he said that he had been ill and that was why he had not gotten to me. By the time that conversation was over he had turned it into that he had tested positive for Covid. I do not believe that, however, whatever the reason, I should have gotten a call on each of these occasions to let me know that he was not going to make it. Now Russ will not answer my calls and he will not respond to the voice messages that I leave when I do call. I think that he is di****g me around. What do you think? On top of all of that, When they were here doing the original spraying, Russs wife was using a reciprocating saw to remove the excess foam that was sticking way out in some areas. In doing so, she cut into an electrical wire. Bad enough that she did it but do not tell me that it happened is inexcusable. If I had not noticed, it could have caused a serious problem. Bad enough that I had to tear out a section of drywall and patch in a new piece in order to replace the damaged wire. I strongly advise you DO NOT hire this guy!

Very very unprofessional. Daughter gave us every story. Oh, I had a baby and section. That private nothing. To do with business had to sign contract at her car. Canceled twice said too snowy. Now it s too lazy. Stay far far away. They have $1400 of our money.

Russ, Tara, Theresa and Brian were great to work with to schedule and have a new build house in Amherst, NY insulated with closed-cell foam. Attention was given to completeness, having an even application, and steps were taken to protect areas and to mitigate cleanup of over-spray and drips. Although foam insulation is more expensive that fiberglass, it saves money in the long run plus brings other benefits as well: manages moisture and air infiltration. I feel that Southern Tier Spray Foam provided an excellent value for a critical need.
