Andy promptly arrived and listened to how I wanted the arrangement of my unique petrified wood tile layout. The pattern was completed perfectly to my specifications. He did the job quietly and efficiently. He found a small imperfection in one tile, and brought it to my attention. Andy was curtious by removing his boots upon entering my home. He cleaned, and insisted on vacuuming, during and upon completion of the job. Andy has done other work for me, in another bathroom and kitchen, and never ceases to amaze me. My husband and I started our journey last fall to find a butcher block countertop and have it installed, as part of our kitchen facelift. We thought we had found the right supplier of the butcher block and were looking for a professional to install it. We quickly discovered that most installers work only with stone and laminates, but not wood! But, our neighbor came to our rescue and recommended Andy Jaeger of Upright Interiors, as he had recently hired him to install French doors in his home and thought he did a superb job. We feel that his fee was very reasonable and that our money was well spent. When I called Andy initially, he promptly arrived to measure and discuss the job. After investigating the supplier that I had identified because it used wood filler in its product, which is not acceptable for a kitchen counter, Andy conducted further research and came up with five suppliers to add to my list. After some of my own research I selected one of the suppliers that Andy had suggested, Kobi Blocks in Chicago (I'll be reviewing this company separately). After a couple of shipping delays, the gorgeous butcher block countertop sections arrived; Andy helped us inspect them, and then Andy and Scott installed them. The countertop is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the work, attention to detail, careful oversight on the budget and follow-up from Upright. Throughout, Andy was in touch, responsive and easily accessible In addition to taking my time to find the best quality in goods and craftsmanship, I look for the overall professionalism of the companies with which I do business. Andy is skilled and meticulous in his work, cleanup and presence. Both he and Scott were pleasant, helpful and considerate of us and our home while they were working. Scott also followed up promptly on a few minor details. Scott made what was at times a stressful and tedious project -- and anyone who has conducted even minor renovations in their home know what I mean! -- easier and even enjoyable at times. I recommend him and his company highly and without reservation. From the moment I met Andy I felt that our job was in good hands and I am glad to report that I was 100% correct!
