The experience from start to finish was perfect. Rick was attentive and explained everything in detail. He didn't cut corners nor skimp on manpower. He was there when he said he would be and left my property looking as clean as he found it. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. Great job all around!

Rick and his crew removed concrete from driveway that was 12” thick. Replaced with asphalt. The job took 2 days and Rick was easy to deal with. Came in and completed the job without any issues.

In the middle of winter and just before selling my house, a land survey revealed that my driveway and a retaining wall were encroaching on my neighbor’s property. I had to make arrangements for the driveway to be corrected as a condition of the sale. I found Alto Contracting on Angie’s List and checked their reviews. There were over 100 glowing and very detailed reviews, so I called and left a message. Within minutes, Mr Rick Ribeiro returned my call and I explained my problem. He was very pleasant and wanted to see the driveway, but there was almost 18” of snow. I emailed him close-up pictures (before the snow) and the survey, so he could see exactly what was needed, and fortunately, he agreed to review the information and send me a quote. Meanwhile, my prospective buyers insisted on getting several other quotes. I called several other masonry and paving contractors, and some were closed for the season, while others returned my call, asked for the pictures (as no one could actually look under that snow) , promised quotes, but never even got back to me, even with repeated calls. Meanwhile, Rick, (Alto Contracting) responded only two days after I emailed him with an itemized quote, including NYS sales tax. The quote was a bit higher than expected, but very fair, once I saw the scope of work that was required. After weeks of calling other companies, my buyers managed to obtain a single quote with no details and no mention of any work included it tax, just an outrageous number more than triple what Alto Contracting had quoted. We all agreed that Alto Contracting was the company for us. I sent a deposit and hired them. As soon as weather permitted, they arranged to come, and completed the job exactly as specified, and left the workspace neat and clean. They also honored their original quote, without finding additional items to add in; this was something that was mentioned in a number of their stellar reviews, and which I am very happy to corroborate. I would definitely hire them again, in a minute! Thank you, Rick!

The work was immaculate! The four-man crew was great, and I tipped each of them as they got ready to leave on the last day. I also asked Rick to put us on his spring "to-do" list to do some masonry work on the patio.

Rick is very professional. He came to our house and within 2 days provided an estimate. He came when he said he would come and was punctual and did a fantastic job putting in a new driveway! His crew is great and you can see they have a rhythm . He did a fantastic job and everything was left clean and in perfect order.

Rick was a pleasure to deal with. Our project included a long asphalt driveway with a drain at the bottom, a stone walkway to our front door and stone work on our front stairs. Everything was explained ahead of time and Rick made sure we knew what the plan was as the project progressed. The friendly crew showed up at the same time every day and where very conscientious in their work. The job came out beautiful. I highly recommend.

A competitive price and a thorough explanation of his premium approach...the right materials, equipment, manpower and a "do-it-right-the-first-time attitude. He supervised every step of the way and worked along side his professional crew every day. His crew was professional, respectful of us and our property and showed a remarkable attention to detail. First class experience. We recently replaced a deteriorating deck with a stamped concrete patio. From beginning to end, Rick Ribeiro and his team were competent, professional and respectful. We are very pleased with the results and would hire Alto Contracting again, without hesitation. Our expectations were clearly exceeded, and that's saying alot. We can only offer our highest recommendation. This is one of those instances where we were so pleased that we were left wondering why we waited so long to do the project!

New driveway looks great. Very high quality. All appropriate steps in the process of rebuilding, from gravel base to final paving, were meticulously followed. The work was done promptly according to the schedule I agreed with Rick. The price was competitive, but not the sole determinant of choosing Alto. Rick is very professional and knowledgeable. Had a lot of confidence from the beginning that I could rely on Alto to do a great job.
