Simply put: NEVER BUY ANYTHING "TRANE" FOR YOUR HEATING SYSTEM! It is basically junk made in China (that's why the parts wear out or break and are not reliable). And TRANE will not, repeat refuses to, stand by their product. A Trane furnace is dangerous to have in your home. You're taking a BIG risk based only the name reliability. This is NOT backed by Trane in any way. We have talked to several Trane representatives and they all refuse to help in any way. It is truly "buyer beware" when it comes to Trane. If anyone has similar negative experiences, please get it out there on Angie's list so no one else is taken advantage of by Trane. And we absolutely DO NOT recommend Trane furnaces for anyone under any condition.
Description of Work: Repair of an installed Trane propane gas furnace. Specifically the "squirrel cage" and motor were damaged beyond repair and we were forced to buy replacement parts at an extremely high price and pay for the installation service on top of it. It is a Trane High Efficiency Two Stage XL 90 that we purchased brand new for our new house in 2001. It is only 11 years old.
