Hilltop Construction

He began work in August of 2009, and he ditched us three weeks ago. We paid 1/2 up front, and now he is upset because we are refusing to pay any more. He took our money to buy himself tools at Home Depot, and I am absolutely furious. The work itself has not been completed, and what work was done was very poor in quality. When I contacted him in regards to my displeasure with the work, he said he would come out, but never showed up. The initial check that we gave him for supplies was for $13,000.00. He is telling us that we owe him another $12,000.00, when we have already given him over $10,000.00. The total for the job was supposed to be $25,000.00. He canceled the order for some of the materials and made off with an extra few thousand dollars there, and also demanded to be paid back for some materials that were actually for another job.
