TRADITIONAL TREE SERVICE

From the initial call to schedule an estimate, through waving goodbye to the team, the experience was wonderful.    Steve was prompt, gave me a competative bid, and the office worked to accommodate our schedule.  On the day of service, his team arrived a few minutes early, ready to go.  They brought several trucks of equipment, a game-plan, and a team of professionals.  They each had a job, and each did it quickly, safely and efficiently.  11 mature trees is a huge job, some trees were twice the height of our 2-story house.  The guys took care not to damage our property, or the neighbors.  As trees were cut, the debris was removed.  Like they were never there.   Our neighbors were so impressed, several have also scheduled work on their own properties.  Bottom line, hats off to Steve Mullane and the Traditional Tree Service team, for a big job well done!

Everything went great!!! Responded back to me the same day, great price, service done a week later. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I originally called for an estimate in mid-October, Steve (the owner) came over and assessed my needs.  A couple of days later, I received a follow-up call asking if I would like to schedule an appointment to do the work - but, I was not ready at that time.  In the first week of December, I called to schedule a day to have the work done - Steve called me back that evening and let me know he was going to be in my area the following week, and said he would call me to set a date.  As promised, Steve called me, and we scheduled an appointment.  I asked if he could do the work first thing in the morning, he accommodated my request.  Steve and his crew arrived on time, and walked through to confirm all of the work that needed to be done. I asked if they could also remove a tree (this was not part of the original estimate) - Steve said they could do it. In two hours, they had completed everything and cleaned up afterwards.  It was a pleasure working with Steve and his crew.

Full crew arrived on-time, set-up equipment, protected entire driveway from heavy equipment. Removed all trees and trimmed per contract agreement. Cleaned yard and driveway, took away all wood and ground all stumps.
Professional and well trained crew. Extremely satisfied customer and would rehire for future. The foreman came at the end completion of work to ensure job was to my satisfaction. Well done!

I called them on a Friday and made an appointment to have Steve come by on Saturday.  Steve was very nice and professional.  He gave me a great price for the work, which was done the following Friday. 
That Friday, two trucks showed  up within the time frame I was given for their arrival that day.  There was a five-man crew who performed the work in less than hour.  A third truck showed up later that morning to cart off the larger limbs and the tree trunk itself.
Overall, I would say the work went very well.  They did a good job in cleaning up the property.  They stumped the tree down to about six inches or so.  I had to dispose of about one wheel barrow worth of sawdust left behind by the stump grinding, but Steve had warned me about that, so I was ready with a shovel and the wheel barrow after they left..  That clean up took about 15 minutes.
Overall, they gave me a great price and did good work.  I would definitely use them again.

I have hired Traditional Tree Service twice - once after Hurricane Sandy when a huge oak tree fell, and once recently to remove a tree (with me keeping the wood) and prune / trim other trees around my house. In both cases, Traditional completed the work professionally and to my specifications.
After Sandy, I had a few companies give me estimates for the oak that fell. Traditional was the only company who not only gave me a reasonable estimate, but also came in a timely manner despite the enormous amount of work that needed to be done on Long Island. I could not have asked for a better price or better service.
When I recently needed further tree work done, Traditional topped my list for getting estimates. As before, they gave me the best price, and the company was hired. I was the second job for the scheduled day. They did come about an hour late, but I knew that jobs could run over, so I wasn't worried. When they did arrive, a crew of seven descended on my house with the equipment
you would expect of any tree service.
As is usual with any contractor, no matter how good the drawing on the estimate is, there are always questions when the work is actually being done.  For this reason, I think it's important that someone who can address any questions be on site. In my case, it was me. The Traditional crew never hesitated to ask questions when there was any doubt as to what needed to be done.
The job was completed in about three hours, exactly to my specifications. The property (including the street where the trucks were parked) was completely cleaned up, and the wood that I asked be kept was cut in sections and neatly stacked.
I give Traditional Tree Service my highest recommendation!

I have dealt with many contractors in my life time, but I have never seen or met a contractor who was as soft spoken, honest, courteous, punctual, and responsive as Steve, the owner of Traditional Tree and his assistant Donna are. I have learnt that a job is not just about getting the lowest quote price from a contractor, but a lot about the experience of dealing with them. Traditional Tree, on the other hand, beat other companies hands down not only on the cost, but also on the quality of the work that they performed in my backyard. They even came back to grind a pesky stump again and delivered truck load of wood chips a few times as and when I called -- all at no cost to me.
Since using their services, I have recommended them to many of my friends. Good contractors are hard to come by these days, but Steve and his company are a keeper.

I have used them before a lot of times.  I got them from Angie’s List.  They are very efficient and they clean up very well.  They do a good job.  They have a crew.  They respond within a week.

days after original propoWere first of 3 companies to come to house and give a written proposal - within a day of calling.  Had the best price by $200.  Although somewhat held up by weather issues, the company came only a few days after the originally proposed date and came in force - at least 6 employees, 4 trucks and a grinding machine.  Were quick and professional, and cleaned and removed all of the wood.  Would definitely use again.

When having any work done by a contractor in or out of the house, we try to get at least 3 estimates.  Steve from Traditional was the second contractor to give us a proposal and I knew I was going to give him the job whatever other prices we got.  He was very professional and made a diagram showing us exactly what branches were to be trimmed, in addition to a laser to point to the trees to be trimmed.  He also sketched on his work sheet the position of each branches tree in relation to the house and marked how many branches were to be cut on each tree.  I had a total of 9 trees I wanted cut that hung over the house and electrical wires.
 Steve came to the house with a large crew and numerous trucks.  There were about 4 trimmers and each had a cleanup assistant that brought all the branches and logs to a huge chipper.  When they were done, they cleaned any debris that they created.  They were here and gone within 90 minutes.  I was totally impressed with their work.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.  He also honored the 5% coupon from Angies List.

I was on a trip out of state when a tree broke in half and if it had not gotten entangled with another tree it would have fallen on my home.  My wife called four tree companies and Traditional Tree Service was the only one who responded by the next day. The owner looked at the dangerous tree as well as two other tree we had planned to have removed next year. We also needed some large branches removed from another tree. He explained that he was busy but that he would send a crew over the next morning and have them cut down the dangerous part of the tree and they would be back in a few days when they had finished the job they were working on. The crew arrived at 8:30 the next morning and cut down the broken part of the tree. They returned two days later and finished all the work. They were very neat and did a very complete cleanup, The price was very fair and I will definitely use them again. I would also like to point out that my wife is a senior citizen in bad health and was very nervous about the tree falling. An unscrupulous tree service could have gouged her. Lucky for us we called Traditional Tree Service.

They showed up when they said they would, did exactly what I wanted done. Left some wood for me as requested. They cleaned up nicely and left the invoice in my mailbox. I didn't even need to be home! They didn't request a deposit or payment at time of service which was just great. I would absolutely use them again. GREAT JOB!!!!

On time , on target on budget.
From the first phone call till the complation of the job all was hasselle free. The  tree was in a narrow space between my home and the next house  and very close to the house and roof however this was no problem for the pros that came to my house.

Everything went smoothly from setting up the original estimate appointment to the completed job. After l left my first message, I received a prompt call back to set up an appointment for an estimate. Donna was very pleasant to deal with and set up the appointment. Steve came and gave me, what I think, was a fair price. He wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the highest either. He came in the middle and after giving me the estimate I mentioned Angie's List. He then gave me a 5% discount, I was impressed with that, since often times contractors ask you to tell them in advance so that they can quote a higher bid to account for the discount. In any case, the crew came while I was working and I was pleasantly surprised when I got home. They did a beautiful job. All the trees and shrubs were trimmed better than I had imagined. All the debris from my yard and my neighbors' yards was cleaned up and removed. I would definitely call them again when needed.
