Our very large deck was in need of powerwashing, stripping and refinising. My husband and I consulted several contractors for estimates and advice. The various and widely differing opinions which were given as to what should be done to our deck left us quite confused. Then we contacted Michael Basile Home Maintenance. Right from the start we knew that we would use Michael. He is personable, very down to earth, professional and knowledgeable but most importantly he took the time to explain all the different ways the deck could be done and what he felt was the best option based upon the age and condition of our deck. We went with his advice of a pigmented sealer rather than a stain and when I couldn't decide between two color shades Michael suggested mixing the two together. The result was perfect, exactly what I had pictured. He also powerwashed and sealed two picket fences with the same color and they look brand new. In addition, he also noticed some structural deficencies with the deck that we were unaware of and reinforced them. His crew was also very friendly and professional. You can tell that Michael really loves his work and puts his heart into it. He spent a great deal of time explaining the reasons for everything he recommended, answered all of our questions and really wanted to make sure that we were happy with everything. In addition, his price was among the best we received. We cannot recommend Michael highly enough and have, in fact, already given his name to our neighbors for their deck work.

The work was executed very professionally and swiftly. Mike always works with you and comes up with good and tasteful solutions. We are very happy with him and his crew.

Mike appraised the condition of the chimney, made suggestions on how to handle the repair, and gave us a fair price. The chimney was framed, cased and painted, and the area cleared of any debris in the time estimated. Mike has also pressure washed our house, deck and vinyl fencing, cleaned the gutters, and painted our shutters (per his suggestion, rather than replacing them). It's a pleasure working with Mike and his team. He brings years of experience to the job.

They did such a great job on the house we negotiated a rate for our deck as well. They couldn't have been more professional.

It experience was fine, it was great. I guess the price was fair. He was fair, absolutely. Actually, he was above, because he did things that I didn’t even ask him to do. The quality, so far so good. For his professionalism, he was wonderful.

I thought the price was a little steep. I had used some other people that didn't do well so I just went on and used them because rain was coming into my windows. I would try them again. His workers was not going to do what he told me they were going to do. I called him and I told him I've had too many people to get over on me, you either come back and do what you told me you're going to do or either I'm going to call and give you a bad mark so he came back.

Our previous front stoop was falling apart after years of wear and tear. Mike came in and provided a free estimate on replacing the stoop, which included labor and materials. When he started the job, Mike tore out the previous stoop all the way back to the ground. He then laid a new base, riser stones, and a paver stone top. All said and done, the new stoop looks great.

It went smoothly and easily.  They came quickly after my call for service.

He was very professional and did a very thorough job. He returned when he said he would to complete the ceiling work. He cleaned up his work areas and left everything in perfect condition.

We've used MIke Basile to maintain our gutters for the past few spring and fall seasons. He does a great job at clearing out all of the junk in the gutters and making sure everything flows smoothly. Everything runs smoothly and I'd definitely call him again come fall to clear our gutters.

I live in Boston and needed to get a house in Suffolk Co power-washed on short notice.  Mike was immediately responsive and despite my obvious state of desperation, gave me a fair price and did the work within three days.  Mike was a pleasure to deal with, and if anything else comes up I would not hesitate to call him.
