Description of Work: I had a garage door installed last October 1st, 2010. I had a one year warranty and needed the springs adjusted. They recommended someone to me. I called him to do the project and I was charged $100 even though I am under warranty. I called to complain about the fact I needed to pay extra for something that should have been taken care of when it was installed. The manager I spoke to said this was an adjustment that wasn't covered by the warranty and would not refund the $100.

+ -1 moreThe same company installed new door openers 2 years ago. They were recommended at the time by my contractor who didn't have a lot of experience with them at that time but knew they did a lot of local work. Recently, after one of the tracks and a panel of one door were both damaged (details aside, a car door was open when backing out) we were forced to choose between an expensive and imperfect match for a replacement panel to wood doors around 25 yrs old or... new doors. They explained the differences, pros and cons and cost, between new wood or steel or vinyl doors and we chose vinyl for the durability and insulation. The installer arrived on time and said he would be finished in approximately 2.5 hrs. Because of some minor but time consuming complications from our low overhead garage he needed almost 4.5 hrs. He was personable and nice but commented about the extra time and cost. A quick phone call to the company resulted in no extra cost to me and job finished!
Description of Work: They removed 2 cedar wood garage doors and tracks (that were damaged by accident) and disposed of all. Then installed 2 new vinyl garage doors with new tracks for a low overhead 2 car garage. They also reconnected both of the existing door openers to the new doors.
