All Around Improvements

Nick Olmstead (the owner) answered our request to give us an estimate for painting the trim and windows on the second floor and roof edge of our home. The work is difficult, and we decided to have someone else do it this time. I was very hesitant, because we are very demanding, and I have done extensive home repair and construction for many years and know good work when I see it. Nick appeared when promised and was well-spoken and very polite. He gave us a written estimate, and we agreed that he would do the work. On the scheduled date he appeared promptly, and began setting up his scaffolding. Because we have many gardens around our house, it was very important to us that he be careful in what he was doing. He was terrific, and never hurt a single plant throughout the job. He began working immediately, and continued for the next week or so until the job was completed. Because exterior painting is very dependent on the weather, there were several days when it rained, and he was unable to work. However, he always called us early in the morning, to let us know what he planned, and to make sure we agreed. And he came faithfully and worked non-stop during the good days. The entire job took about 10 days, including the missed days because of the weather. Nick is a very careful and meticulous worker. He sanded and primed all of the trim, and then put on a beautiful coat of paint. Because of his workmanship, we expect the job to last for several years. He takes his time, uses the highest quality products, and takes pride in what he does. Best of all, he communicates well, and is pleasant and friendly. When he says he'll call, he does. I would be happy to recommend him to others, and have, in fact, already recommended him to friends.
