Metropolitan Awnings

We are very happy with this company and their products. It took 2 months from estimate to completion for our patio cover. They offer lots of colors and go through all the options during the estimate. We got a sunshade on the west side and we love it. The installer was not very good at contacting us before showing up (its tough when you live in far away so we were happily surprised when they made the trip!) , but the foreman kept us updated as much as he could and in the end we are very happy. The installer cleaned up the job site daily - very professional. Everything is custom cut after you order it so expect a perfect fit. Down payment is half, so they can buy the materials, then the other half is due after completion. I really like that strategy.

Well! we are so impressed with the workmanship, professionalism, efficiency of the metropolitan awing company . We were worry because a bad review on the site but our experience was totally the opposite Ethan was direct honest and knowledgeable helping us come to the best decision would have to proceed. The work men were polite and efficient and the installation was perfect. We are so please we chose this company.

They built and installed a 10x13 awning for our deck in less than three weeks. The work was professional and service was great. Highly recommend them and would use them again.

DON"T USE THIS COMPANY! Ethan W,the representative, will promise you anything, but after his men install your awning and take your check, you will never see them again. I originally called Metropolitan Awnings and Ethan came over and told me he could recover and repair my retractable awning. I gave him a deposit of $1000. When his men arrived, they said the awning wouldn't work and they put me on the phone with Ethan,who said I need a whole new awning because they could fix my old awning after all. When his men returned with a new awning, they installed it and I gave them a check for $3613. I questioned them because the awning was hard to open and close, but they said it would loosen up quickly with use and to call Ethan if there was any problem. Shortly after I did have to call Ethan because the awning filled with water pockets during a storm. Ethan said he would come over and adjust the awning, but he never showed up for his appointment and he never returned any of my calls. I did speak to him one more time when I called him from another phone. He said he had tried to reach me many times and would come over. He never showed up and I was never able to reach him from that phone again either. He also never sent a receipt for the awning and each time I talked to him he promised to send the receipt. When I tried to check his various addresses on Google Maps, they show a vacant lot with a school bus in front of it or a non-existent building. You can't trust this company for any work and especially be aware of any business attached to the 718-807-7233 telephone number or Ethan W.

Happy to say that Metro Awnings were excellent! They arrived early and they were well prepared and did a great job with the installation. They also provided a very thorough and detailed demonstration on how the awning functions. We would definitely recommend them to others.

On time for estimate and job. Very nice job, neat cleanup.

Amazing job they came and measured and within a week awning was ready and installed they were professionals and cleaned up. I highly recommend this company I actual will use them again for my back patio awning in the spring.
