College Point Plumbing and Sewer

2/2011: College Point came to house, replaced hot water heater.  Excellent Job.  $1140 charged and $60 tip paid in addition (company prefers to be paid in cash).  At that time, workmen told us that there is a pipe leading to the furnace that would have to be replaced in summer.  
May, 2011: called College point for furnace issue and 2 other minor leaks (to outside hose and on newly-installled bathroom fixture).  They fixed the  small leaks, took measurements of the the furnace pipe, and told us they would call us with an estimate and a date for the furnace repair.  Excellent job on the 2 small leaks.  $140 cash charged; paid that and $20 tip. 
June, 2011: 2 weeks pass.  We called College Point and were given a date for service call.  The workmen do not show.  When we called back, we spoke with a gentleman (prior calls had been with a lady).  He reports he knows nothing about the service call requested.  We are told to call back in the morning for a service call.  When we called the next morning, we were told to call back.  After three calls, we were told that the workman would come out to take measurements on the furnace and to address the 2 leaks.  When he showed up, he took measurements on the furnace pipe and reported that the other measurements had been lost at the office.  He inspected the other two leaks and evidence of a third leak on the second floor of the building, but reported "I don't have time to fix any of this today.  Someone will come out here tomorrow or Friday."  We informed him we were not available the next day, but could be around for Friday.  We were told someone would call us.  Of course, no one did, but we called again and weer told "I don't see why someone can't make it out there on Friday."  We called again on Friday morning to confirm; again, we were someone would call us back and no one did.  I called again at 10:00 am. The receptionist told me the workers would call me.  I called her back at 11:30 when I hadn't heard anything, and requested the workman's cell phones so that I could find out when they were coming.  She told me she could not do that, but would call me back.  I thanked her profusely.  This time, she actually did call me back just a few minutes later, to inform me that no one would be able to come at all that day.  So here it is, close to noon on Friday, with 2 active leaks and no one to assist me; furthermore, it was only through my continued and aggressive pursuit of College Point that I had been informed no one was coming at all!!!  Pretty unprofessional.
