He arrived right on time and got right to work. He came prepared for all types of repairs as his truck is designed to carry EVERYTHNG. He is a very personable guy. He seems to know how to do a wide variety of jobs--handy man, indeed! Upon completion, he showed me what he had done and checked to make sure we were pleased with it. We were. Best of all, he is right down the road in Colden. It was a nice change having someone who lives close by. We usually have to ask people if they come to our area.

I called Jim toward the end of August to get an estimate for patching a large hole in my kitchen ceiling due to a plumbing situation that had been finally resolved. I also wanted him to patch a hole in an upstairs bedroom wall and a crack in a bathroom wall. He gave me an estimate of $350, which was within my budget, so I asked him how much he would charge to paint the kitchen ceiling and a small powder room ceiling where the plumbing problem had left a stain. He felt the whole kitchen ceiling should be repainted in order to get a uniform look, and I agreed. He quoted me an additional $100 plus paint to do the ceilings. I thought maybe I could do the painting myself, so we contracted to have him come out to do the drywall repair the following week. Jim arrived promptly and set to work. It took him all morning and well into the afternoon to do the patches. He worked meticulously and was very careful about using plastic to protect floors, counters, and furniture. I was extremely impressed with the results, and so I asked him to return and do the painting for me as well, which he did the following week. Again, I couldn't be happier with my "new" kitchen ceiling! It is flawless. I will definitely put Jim at the top of my list for major and minor repairs to my home if I need someone in the future. He was pleasant, polite, and industrious. I am very pleased to highly recommend him on Angie's list.

Jim took great care to protect the wooden floors ,and walls prior to beginning the plasterwork in our dining room. All the walls were covered and furniture were covered with a plastic drop cloths as protection from any falling plaster dust or debris. His painting was clean and neat. Our dining room ceiling looks like new.
The bathroon tile job required removing loose tiles ,cleaning old grout off the tile backs , repairing the wall then reinstalling the tiles on he wall and regrouting. Jim took great care in removing all the necessary tiles without damage to any tile. He even numbered the tiles so he would re-install them in the proper location on the wall. After his regrouting it was impossible to tell which tiles had been removed from the wall. We were more than delighted with the results of this job.
We would recommend Jim Heller for tile and plaster work. He was prompt in arriving ,kept us informed as to the process of each repair and cleaned up after each day's work.

I was thoroughly impressed with Jim and his service. He was able to come out and give me a free estimate for the work. I agreed to it and he came back a few days later to perform the service.
He spent approximately 5 hours and was very reasonably priced. He did a great job replacing the holes in the wall and texturing the wall. Can't even tell it was repaired.
He was very professional, even putting down plastic and hanging plastic from the ceiling while working. There was no mess to clean up after him.
I was also very impressed that he went to Home Depot to get the floor molding that I needed and actually showed me the receipt to bill me for it. Most companies would charge a 50% markup and just include that cost in the service charge, but Jim didn't do that. I gave him an extra 20% on the home depot receipt just because I felt bad that he wasn't making any money off of it.
Jim did a phenomenal job and we would use him again in a heartbeat.

He showed up on time and had the tools necessary to do the job.  Do give him as much information as you can as to the type of job (woodworking, painting, etc) like the size of the room, or the length/width of the wood that needs repairing.  This ensures he has the right tools for the job and prevents any delay in him getting started.

My upstairs water heater sprung a leak a few weeks ago and ruined a section of dry wall about 4ft x 6ft.  The drywall needed to be cut out, replaced and the new section needed to be textured to match the rest of the ceiling in my kitchen.  At the same time I had a damaged section of ceiling in my stairwell that was cracked thanks to a misstep on my part in my attic.  After reading reviews on Angie's List I chose to get an estimate from Jim.  He was one of 3 individuals I contacted for an estimate.  Jim was one of the 2 that showed.  He came by on a Thursday and looked everything over.  He dropped off an estimate the next day.  His bid was well below the other contractor and it was nice to have the guy who would actually be doing the work give the estimate.  So we decided to go with Jim and scheduled the work to start Monday 2 weeks later.  Jim called the Sunday before to confirm and arrived at about 9AM Monday morning and quickly went to work getting the work area ready.  Jim and Nick were careful with all my wife's breakable nick nacks and moved them out.  Next they went through and sectioned off the work area in the kitchen with plastic sheeting and went to work.  In the first day they cut out the old water damaged drywall.  Loaded the space up with insulation and closed up the wall with new sheet rock and did the mud and tape work.  Later they ran the plastic the rest of the way around the kitchen covering my appliances and cabinets.  They were careful to cover everything well and used drop cloths on the floor.  The second day they were back first thing in the morning and went to work, that morning they patched the small spot in the hallway, re-textured the new sheet rock and painted both ceilings (kitchen and stairwell).  When they were done they took their time to clean everything up and do the last touch up work.  Now that the work was done you can't tell either spot was ever patched.
Jim took the time to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction and did everything he said he would do.  He was careful to cover everything and take the time to clean any spots which received any unnecessary paint.  I could not have asked for more and his pricing was much better than the competition.
I would use Jim again without hesitation and would recommend him to anyone that needs work done.  I plan to call him back when the time comes for me to have the outside of my house painted.

Jim was courteous on the phone when he discussed the repair on the phone; he came within a few days of the call and was prompt in his arrival.  He seemed knowlegable about what was needed to repair the drywall and set about his work.  He was willing to go to Home Depor and purchase paint for the interior and the door of the closet and did a good job in painting.  The repair looked great and he explained to my husband and me what he had done and why.
We were both very satisfied with him and appreciated his work.  He was very friendly and professional.
We would definitely hire him again for our next project.

Everything went swimmingly.  Mr. Heiler worked with an assistant, Nick, whom assembled the file cabinet while Mr. Heiler hung the cabinetry.  I'm borderline OCD, and was pleasantly surprised to see all three wall cabinets visually balanced.  I also hung on the cabinets to test the strength, and was convinced they weren't going anywhere - this guy definitely knows what he's doing!
The file cabinet was also quickly and professionally assembled, and stabilized to the studs in the wall.  Mr. Heiler and Nick were professional, pleasant and hardworking.  The price came out less than I had originally budgeted for the projects, so, all in all, it was a great experience.  T

My experience with Frisco Remodeling has been great, Jim Heiler is very professional. His work is top notch, not to mention quite reasonable. It's refreshing when a contractor tells you how much something will cost, when he will be there to start, and how long it will take, and then he actually sticks to his word. Another plus is his trustworthiness. He has worked for me several times and I have no hesitation giving him a spare key to the house to allow him to work even if I'm not there.Overall, I highly recommend Frisco Remodel

"the work was performed promptly.  The blown finish matches the existing texture.  There is no evidence of the repair's location. Jim is personable and seems capable of general handyman work as well.  His fees were very competitive, offering the lowest quote of those solicited.  I would use him again for this kind of repair and would recommend him to others.

Our experience with Mr. Heiler was excellent from beginning to end.  He arrived each day at the exact time that he said he would arrive.  He cleaned everything up each day & hauled away all trash from the days work.  He even brought a special mask for me in case my allergies were effected by the dust that was still able to get into the air.  After applying the Kiltz to the floors, he refunded $100.00 to us because that part of the work didn't require as much time as he had previously thought.  You couldn't find a more honest and reliable contractor than Jim Heiler and we will certainly be hiring him for future planned work.
