After four years of trying to find the source of a specific issue, Lou Leonardi helped us diagnose and remedy the issue. Finally!!!!! Lou has an engineering degree from Purdue and worked in rocket propulsion before taking over the family business. This is exactly the kind of person we needed to methodically diagnose and test the issue. The work he did was professional, thoughtful, clean, prompt, everything you would want from a contractor, but rarely get. I highly recommend Leonardi and Son and wouldn't use anyone else going forward.

I was completely overwhelmed and anxious about this unexpected issue. Leonardi & Sons came to the rescue. Of the 3 companies I investigated, not only were they the least expensive but they were the only ones to care about the damage that would occur to my lawn. Louis and his team did the entire job in 2 days. They used lawn protectors so the heavy equipment wouldn't rip up my lawn. They went the extra distance overcoming obstacles that weren't planned for and still kept to their price quote. They left my property almost as they found it (except for the missing grass which is unavoidable). I highly recommend them.

Because of the large volume of water in my ground over the winter my sump pump just ran almost all the time because the drain line was directed into my gray water tank. I called Leonardi and Son and Lou came over to my house the same day. He accurately diagnosed the probem, cut the sump pump drain line and ran a temporary line to catch basin. His original solution was to tie the sump drain and down spouts together and then add infiltrator tanks to septic to help drainage. When he opened up the ground he saw that the dry well was basically ok and said that I didn't need the infiltrator tanks. He said I don't want to charge you for things you don't need. His workers are very professional and neat and really know their trade. It is very refreshing to find a contractor so honest, neat and knows what he's doing. I can't say enough good things about them

I have hired Lou for many jobs after meeting him through a contractor (kept contact with Lou, never worked with the contractor again!):  drainage required for a new Garage and expanded driveway, drying up a wet part of our lawn, changing a culvert to an undergound drainage system, installation of a new septic system, and drainage for an inground pool installation and he has been professional, prompt, responsive, expert and fair. When I've had smaller time sensitive jobs that he couldn't make due to other projects underway (e.g. soil tests for Town); he has made arrangements with a friend (Cowell) to do the work and saved me from blowing up our schedule. I highly recommend him and his son.

They are great. We were happy with them. The guy is terrific. He is professional, considered, thoughtful. He knows what he is doing. He thinks like a consultant in other words he takes his customers needs into consideration and they have guys who do beautiful work and I think he is really committed to producing an excellent product. I would use them again.

ThIs was an exceedingly complex job due to our municipality and terrain. (lots of rock bed) Mr.Leonardi was patient in answering all of our questions. No one wants to sepnd that much money on something going underground, but they patiently guided us through a difficult and emotional process. Mr. Leonardi sought every avenue to save money on the project for us. He and his entire work crew were always polite and kind. They did a great job cleaning up 'the war zone' and even replaced my recycling can that was accidentally crushed during construction.
