In late summer of 2011 Dave completes the project and is paid in full, even though we were concerned with the appearance of the wall and the completion of the channel to divert water from that area, he promised he would be back to finish. He seemed like an honest man and we took him at his word. Time went by and we heard nothing. In the meantime we started noticing sand and dirt washing out from behind the wall and grew concerned about its' integrity. We called several times and he stalled just long enough for our first snowfall and could not work under those conditions.
Early spring of 2012 and all the problems still remain. Both my wife and I contact him and he finally stops and "fixes the problem but didn't have the materials with him to complete the job. Assures us he will return to finish. Over the summer we again noticed the dirt washing out and started calling him again with our concerns. He said since we live quite a ways from his company he was waiting for another job in the area to finish ours. Once again, winter sets in and Dave is not to be found.
In the spring of this year, we again started calling Dave and received the same response and result. Nothing. I spoke with him a month ago and he stated he would get back to me with a date, which he has not done.

"When we finished the project th Gossage's were very pleased. It was finished in the fall of that year. The "wall" in question was option # 2 due to budget constraints by the homeowners, it is a sound option but with some limitations.This wall was built using large rocks, 2-3 footin diameter. Until the ground behind it could set up there is is possibility of silt seepage with heavy rains and prolonged dampness.It was suggested by me in the beginning to plant ground cover along the top of the "wall" to help stabilize the soil , this has never been done yet. I made two attempts to help alleviate the problem this was done at my expense above and beyond the original job. They had wanted to install a patio between the back door and the rear flower beds and I thought that we could address this issue in more detail but that project was postponed, I was given one reason but now I'm thinking other. The Gossages live just far enough away where it makes it difficult to just drop by. I'm not making excuses but time has a way of slipping by before you know it, that coupled with the fact that I had several family issues to deal with. If you wish to discus this more then lets talk"
