The Home Depot - Clifton Park

David,Dave and Ed was very professional. They were comfortable to work with. They did a wonderful job in a very reasonable price.

I'm very happy with the tools.  I use the tool rental, I'm a handy guy, this way I do it myself.  The reason why I use the roof service was I'm afraid of heights.  I couldn't get on the roof, but everything else I do myself.  Used them two weekends.  The price was good, it was fair.  Everything was practically new, I was surprised.  It's a bit tough to deal with a few people there.

Sales rep William in plumbing department was the most knowledgeable person we spoke with during our research. He explained how just a few companies actually manufacture all the different named products. He also new about the expansion device required by the town of Clifton Park.  Home Depot offers the same brands as the major heating and plumbing companies in the area, but offered 12 months financing with zero interest. The plumber they sent out, Burnnell's Plumbing, communicated with us directly, answered all our questions ahead of time, had me text photos of the old unit and space to make sure the new hot water heater would fit. The two men who came to do the work were on time, were polite and knowledgeable, again answered any and all questions, and did the installation in a timely manner, and cleaned up completely after themselves.

I have had an overall horrible experience with Home Depot on my cabinets and now my countertops.  My cabinets were finally installed after I had to contact Home Depot 5-6 times over 2 months to schedule a date.

Now I am trying to get my countertops installed.  I paid for new countertops to be installed after the new cabinets.  Setting up a date to have someone come out and measure for the new countertops took 2 weeks (I was told we would hear from someone in a few days).  Today the company to measure (Unico) showed up and had issues immediately upon entry.  He started arguing with me over the cooktop install - something I had the salesman at Home Depot confirm was not a problem when we paid for the countertops.  After we got his boss on the phone, he understood what needed to be done.  No one contacted me to suggest removing the tops for proper measurements or go through a checklist with me.  The guy from Unico showed me his checklist that supposedly someone had gone over with me and most of the items were wrong on it - easy to see someone else filled it in and knew nothing about what was required.  Therefore we had to reschedule  for another date and the first available was another 12 days out and requires me to take another day off work. 

I would not have had issues with any of this provided had they let me know up front what to expect.  This is a classic case of over promising and under delivering.  This is some of the worst customer service I have experienced. 

I went to The Home Depot - Clifton Park because it is convenient and I have used them for other things before but not for flooring and I found them to be impersonal, unfriendly and they ended up bouncing me a couple of times instead of fixing the problem, so I am very unhappy with them.Their price was good.

I did not need assistance as I knew exactly what items I needed. The employees were very willing to assist in my selection and loading the items in my vehicle though. The store is well laid out. I was quite pleased as the sheet rock and 2x4 pieces were all under the main building's roof. In terms of price, they are comparable to their competitors.

I THINK OVERALL THEY DID A GOOD JOB. I GUESS BECAUSE THEY FINISHED THE JOB AS QUICKLY AS THEY DID. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL. I PROBABLY WOULD'VE PICKED IT UP MYSELF RATHER THAN HAVE THEM DELIVER.

THERE WAS DIFFICULTY GETTING THE CORRECT SIZED DOOR. HOME DEPOT CAME OUT AND CHARGED US TO RE-MEASURE THE OPENING. THE SUBCONTRACTOR; STEVENS GENERAL CONTRACTING, DID A VERY GOOD JOB. WE WERE HAPPY WITH THEM. WE BOUGHT A TOP OF THE LINE DOOR AND GOT WHAT WE PAID FOR.

THE DOOR CAME SOONER THAN THEY PROMISED. THEY CONTRACTED IT OUT TO GREEN'S GARAGE DOORS AND HE WAS VERY GOOD. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. WE GOT A TOP OF THE LINE GARAGE DOOR AND ARE HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.

THE QUALITY OF THE CARPET AND THE INSTALLATION WENT, FOR THE MOST PART, PRETTY WELL. THEY LEFT A MESS ON OUR FRONT LAWN WITH THE SHREDDED PIECES OF OLD CARPET THAT THEY HAD DRAGGED OUT AND THEY LEFT SOME NAILS ON THE LAWN WHICH MY HUSBAND STEPPED ON LATER WHEN HE WAS MOWING THE LAWN, BUT EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

THE PROBLEMS WERE A MATTER OF THEIR BEING THERE ON TIME, AND THE PRICE. THERE WERE SOME COMPLICATIONS AND SOME MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT PRICING, BUT OVERALL IT WENT OKAY.

THE ONE THING THAT HOME DEPOT DOESN'T DO IS EMPLOY INSTALLERS THEY CONTRACTED OUT. WE'VE HAD THREE DIFFERENT INSTALLERS COME, AND THEY'VE ALL BEEN EXCELLENT WITH PRICING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THEY WERE INSPECTING THE CARPET BEFORE IT GOES OUT TO THE CUSTOMER FOR INSTALLATION, AND THEY TOLD US THAT IT WASN'T GOOD. THE CARPET WAS BAD COMING FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I WASN'T HAPPY THAT IT WAS DELAYED, BUT I GAVE THEM AN "A" RATING BECAUSE THEY MANAGED EVERYTHING.

THE GUY WHO TOOK CARE OF US WAS NAMED GEORGE. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND GAVE US EXCELLENT CARE AND SERVICE. WHEN I SAW THE JOB, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. IT WAS EVERYTHING I HAD HOPED IT WOULD BE. IT WAS NICELY DONE. I DID GET OTHER ESTIMATES AND IT WAS THE BEST. I SAVED MORE THAN 1,000 DOLLARS.
