Scott attention to detail is pathetic. He put wainscoting pabels in one of my rooms. After 4 months, the panels have separated from the wall. I called and told him about it in July. After two conversations and two unanswered messages, he has not contacted me. It is now late August 2017. While painting the shower tile, I observed him attempting to paint over the tile which was covered in soap scum. He never did anything to prep the tiles for painting. The directions on the paint can he attempted to apply called for a clean surface and sanding the tile with 120 grit. I asked him if he wanted me to clean the tile, his response was "this paint will stick to water" I told him this was unacceptable. He proceeded to do a poor job prepping the surface. While applying stain to newly sanded hardwood floors, Scott never mixed the stain prior to applying. By the time he was finishing the application, the stain was a thick paste, not a liquid. Do not hire this guy, he's all about cutting corners to get the job done.

Scott and his guys were AWESOME! Timely, responsive (even when I changed some paint colors). I was nervous about painting my maple kitchen cabinets white - but I absolutely love them. Would recommend Scott/Pro Painters to anyone!

Excellent! I can't say enough about the professionalism of Scott and his workers. They were prompt, polite, and efficient for all of my projects. Scott was attentive to detail and it shows in the final product. I have referred pro painters to everyone I know and everyone has been very happy with the work. Scott runs a professional painting outfit. Having been in he industry when I was younger, I can tell you that this is not the norm! Scott and his workers are reliable and great painters. They may not be the cheapest price you get but they are worth every penny to know that the job is going to get done right and on time.

Excellent! The job was done within a day and half and the house looked great. We had neighbors stopping by to tell us how great it looked and ask who we used. We had several neighbors book their paint job with them too.

They did a really nice job, and very quick once they started. Scott has a large team who works really well together. We would easily hire them again.

It all went well from start to finish. Scott and his whole crew are very knowledgeable about painting and renovation. They're easy to work with and provided excellent input about what to do -- and what not to do. This was the third major project Pro Painters did for me. Many years when they were a fairly new business, they painted the outside of the house and garage, and several years ago they did a big inside project.

The people who work for Pro Painters are always kind, professional, and they get the job done in a reasonable time frame.  They have been with us for so long (one room at a time) and have become like family. We haven't met a person who wasn't happy from our recommendation.

Scot Johnson, the owner, provided a prompt and very reasonable estimate. (Other estimates were double his price). Scott and his crew arrived on time and worked around a rainy season to complete the work on time.  I was VERY pleased with their work.  They calked all cracks and around windows, masked all the areas because they sprayed the stain and left the place immaculate and were very careful around landscaping.  A skilled carpenter on site replaced all rotted sills and siding.  The crew was very courteous and even washed all my upper windows!  I  HIGHLY recommend Scott and PRO PAINTERS. A+++

The contract called for the team (there were four) to come by the 15th of October. but we had phone contact and I was willing to be flexible. Moreover, we had to wait for good weather. The contract originally put the price at $1,700, but the paint that I had already couldn't be used and then more paint was needed besides. The full job took half a day or so for the pressure washing, and then two full days for the painting. I found a few pieces of paint around some fixtures that they neglected to remove, but it was otherwise left totally neat and clean afterwards.

The paint job looks fine and seems to be holding up well. The work was completed in a timely fashion. Biggest complaints are that paint scrapings were left everywhere due to inadequate tarp use and cleanup. Also, they didn't leave us any leftover trim-color paint. (Really?? there was none of the white left over?)

I called Pro Painters for an estimate for painting the exterior of my house based on recommendations from Angie s List. Joe came at the appointed time and we discussed what I wanted. The cost was reasonable. I contact Joe a few weeks later to schedule a start time. Of course nothing could be scheduled without a deposit. I wanted to schedule to start right after Labor Day since I was having some other work done on my house. Joe said that the crew would come sometime the week before to do the power wash and at that time we could discuss colors. After not hearing from anyone the week before Labor Day, I called on Friday and left a message asking about the schedule. On Tuesday, Joe called to say that they were at the house now starting the power wash and scraping. He said he called me the week before and left a message. I never received any message despite that fact that he should have had both my home and work phone numbers. Now the schedule was they were to do the wash, the scraping and go directly into painting. This meant that I had to choose the colors right way so that the paint could be ordered. The body of the house was to be white, but as anyone who has ever painted knows, there are hundreds of different shades of white. I wanted something that would blend with the white of the vinyl siding on an addition that was not being painted. Joe told me to look at the Sherwin Williams website. Unfortunately, I couldn t see any differences in the whites. Although I like the color, I think if I had more time to look at some different color chips I would have found a better color to blend with the siding. Throughout the painting process the job foreman frequently had to ask me what he was supposed to paint and what color. At one point he said everything was finished except for the door but they hadn t painted the foundation. At first he said he wasn t to do that but he called Joe who confirmed that the foundation was included in the contract. I got the impression through the entire process that the main goal was to get the job done as quickly as possible. I wanted the front door painted red. I picked a color chip from a different company but Joe said that it could be matched anyway. However, when the door was completed, the red door did not match the chip that I had at all. At first Joe said it was because it was a different finish on the door than what was on the chip but it was way off. He said he would get a better match and re-paint. Unfortunately, the color still doesn t match. Also, they painted the door while it was closed so that when it is opened there is a thin border of the old color round the edges. They also painted some of the windows closed. Despite two calls to Joe and one directly to the main company office I never got any response from anyone. Finally, after several hours and some help from my sister I was able to get the windows unstuck. Unfortunately, we cracked one window in the process.

Scott came by and gave a complete estimate which he adhered to strictly. Seemed to do a fine job on power washing, could have perhaps scraped more, but since this was my first time having a house painted, maybe I was expecting too much. Painting was fairly good and they did clean up well at the end of the day, although they left a lot of paint drips on our slate patio and front steps which took months to wash away. The most disappointing thing was that in under a year we had multiple spots of cracking and peeling. I also had to call him several times to find out when his guys were coming back to finish the job.

They cleaned up very well, which was really nice. That to me was professional and reliable. They were dedicated to the job and answered all of our questions. I would recommend them to other people because everything looked great when they were finished and I was pleased.

Scott Johnson answered my initial email almost immediately with a phone call. He came by and we discussed what needed to be done. He gave me an estimate and even recommended an excellent person to do some minor repairs prior to the beginning of painting. The crew arrived and worked efficiently and quickly but with great attention to detail. They were all very respectful and friendly and really very professional. I was so pleased with the end result. They treated my home like it was their own.

I was very pleased with their work. Pro Painters subcontracted the job to James Bucci Contracting. The men were very respectful, polite, prompt, and skilled. They worked on my house straight through and got it done in about a week. They didn't leave my job to go work on another job. The only thing that had me concerned was that the owner, Scott Johnson, had told me at the Home Show in Albany, in March 2005, that he accepted credit cards and had reaffirmed that in a subsequent conversation. I put the job off until the fall, and by then, he had ceased to accept credit card payments, which I didn't know. But he made an exception and accepted one last credit card payment. I was very pleased. Since his estimate was quite a bit less than the other estimates, I was concerned about the change about the credit cards. As it turned out, I needn't have been because they did a wonderful job and didn't whine about the height of my house, as had many other long time, professional painters.
