They did have problems with some of the supplies that did not come with the order so they had to travel to Selkirk to procure them--not their fault at all. We did have them come back the next day after the job was complete to redo one section as 2 screws were off the board. They came back immediately and remedied the problem very promptly and fixed it to our satisfaction.

JD was very responsive to my needs.  He was completely honest in that this would be a out of the ordinary repair because of the popcorn on the ceiling and the difficulty of matching exactly.  He explained in complete detail how he would go about making the repairs to the separating seam and then replacing the popcorn on the ceiling.   JD did an excellent job!  The repair is barely noticeable.   It actually looks fantastic and I am more than completely satisfied with his attention to detail and the qualify of the repair.  He was also very concerned about cleaning up after the job was complete as spraying the new popcorn on the ceiling was, let's say, messy through no fault of JD's.  I highly recommend him.  Actually I have asked him to complete another repair to the railing for my stairs and also plan to continue to request his services.

JD and his crew did a great job in completing our bath addition on schedule and budget. They did the layout drawing and got the town permit sooner than expected and procured the bath hardware as agreed with the customer. In addition they also installed flush mount Ceiling LED lights in four bedrooms as well as an attic access.

JD and his crew completed an impressive remodel on our bathroom. We had a several contractors provide bids, and JD's price was reasonable. He listened to our plans and worked with us to ensure that the project stayed within our budget. JD and his crew were on time and kept the house clean. I made the mistake of trying to install a new lamp post top with a light fixture and a photocell at the bottom of my driveway on my own.  It seemed simple, but the wiring was a little confusing and i kept tripping my breaker.
Today being a Sunday, I was not exactly enamored with leaving unsecured wiring in the lamppost until I could get an electrician out here during the week, or with leaving the circuit tripped and having no lighting in my basement or garage.  Called JD and he took my call, on a Sunday nonetheless, and showed up quickly to help me out.
Nice guy, made quick work of my mistake, and even offered to let me borrow his tools for something else I am working on.  Looking forward to dealing with him again.

Garage surround wood had rotted badly. He removed the entire surround and rebuilt behind the door overhead trim. It was replaced with MiraTec. The sides were rebuilt. Excellent job. Professional.

I couldn't be happier with the service that JD provides. He was quick to return texts and voicemails, showed up on time, and finished on schedule. He was quick to reach out if he had any questions, and even went to Home Depot to purchase items for my home that he recommended. His fees are fair and he offers a wide range of services. His electrician was also very easy to deal with, efficient, and fairly priced.  I will definitely be having JD back to do more work when the time comes.

Halfmoon Handyman Services worked on a home we recently purchased.  The bathroom tub, fixtures and tile needed upgrading.  In addition, there was mold on the sheet rock in back of the tub.  Halfmoon Handyman Services removed all the sheetrock and installed kerdi board to prevent a mold problem in the future.  They then installed a new tub and fixtures.  They put in a new tile floor and new tile around the tub.  All the work was expertly done, completed on time and on budget.  The completed job looks great and really updated the house.  I would use Halfmoon Handyman Services again and recommend them to anyone needing bathroom or home remodeling.  I rate Halfmoon Handyman Services A+.

JD is just great to work with!  We've had him do a major bathroom renovation, some other handy work around the house and now the kitchen backsplash!  He's always on time, professional, friendly and just great to work with!  I  am always pleased with the quality of work that he does - very detailed, considerate of the work area and cleans up after himself, and always makes it look "just right"!  I love the work he does!  We'll definitely be having him come back for more jobs!

The owner and helper arrived on time on the date agreed.  They arrived in a fully marked vehicle and had company logo shirts which I think is important when going to people's homes. It shows that it is a professionally run business.  They made sure to review manufacturer instructions which I thought was good as there are so many variations of products on the market.  They were thorough and did not leave even a hint of debris behind.  The end result was very satisfactory to both my wife and i and we would definitely contact Halfmoon handyman again.

JD and the licensed Electrician he works with arrived punctually & began working on replacing my Hall light fixture. They brought a large extending ladder with them as it is a vaulted ceiling. Everything was proceeding well until they installed the new fixture & encountered a problem..the light would not turn on. It required them to test several options which was very time consuming. Unfortunately the culprit was the new fixture which was faulty. So I had to make another appt. with JD. He charged me the regular minimum rate he charges, which is a $100 per hour, and he was there at least an hour, if not more. I returned the light to HomeDepot and they tested it there and the Manager confirmed it was a faulty fixture. They refunded me the cost and I purchased another fixture. JD and his Electrician returned a few days later and completed the job quickly and successfully. Even though the minimum rate is usually $100 he only charged me $50 which I thought was extremely fair. I would definitely use his services again and recommend them highly.

JD's work is great! He's on time and always thinks things through and completes the work in a timely manner. He does jobs like he's working on his own house. And it always comes out great!

We called JD late in the day on Saturday when a door install project wasn't going as we had hoped. He answered his phone the first time we called and was very helpful by giving us answers to our questions about the door frame we were trying to remove. After a second attempt at trying to remove the door, we called him back and requested his help. He was very polite and apologized saying he wouldn't be available that night, but could come first thing the next morning (Sunday morning), which he did. He text us early Sunday morning to let us know an approximate time of arrival, which we appreciated. When he arrived he came fully prepared and ready to work. We had purchased the wrong sized door and needed some extra supplies and actually a different sized door all together. JD was a HUGE help in going the extra mile above and beyond to help us purchase the correct sized door!! We would definitely recommend him and are very pleased with his level of expertise. He checked the closure of the door after each screw that was drilled and was very thorough the whole job. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, our front door looks and works great!!

We are thrilled with the work that has been done - the shower looks better than I had imagined.  The tiling work  is very professional, they've taken their time, and have been patient with all our requests.  I love the built in bench and the way it's laid out.  Both JD and Mike are professional, prompt, and clean up after themselves each day.  They've had good suggestions throughout and have listened to our needs to make sure they've provided the look & feel we wanted.  I have quite a few more jobs around the house that we'll be hiring them for!  Strongly recommend you give them a call!  The price is fair and you get a high quality of work.

To begin with I e-mailed JD to set up and appointment and then we followed that up with a call.  He came over to the house and I went over everything I wanted to have done.  We made an appointment for him to come back and complete the work.  I was not at home when he came back to finish the work, he had a few questions for me and called to double check what I wanted him to do since he had run into a problem with the light fixtures.  I was glad he checked with me before just going ahead and putting some thing up that was not up to par with what I was trying to get done.   I had also talked to him about some other things around the house and he suggested that before I spent a lot of money doing these projects I should  check with a relator to see if it was necessary.  That was nice because he could have just done the tasks when the relator later told me they didn't need to be done.  JD was also on time for his appointments which really is important to me because I do not like to wait for someone. He has followed up his work with phone calls and I am having him come back to do a few more chores as soon as it warms up.  I was happy with the work and he cleaned up after himself even taking the boxes from the lights with him when he left.  I would recommend him if you are in need of his services.

We have used JD's services before and have always been very happy. This time I was in a time sensitive predicament. Long story, short, JD was very responsive to my situation. He assisted me in figuring out a more cost efficient plan to fit a new fridge in a custom sized area.  JD was meticulous in his measurements for the cabinet and new fridge. As soon as the new doors come in, I know JD will construct a cabinet of the same quality that we already have in our kitchen.
