Cozy Fireplaces

I had a problem with my gas fireplace. I called Cozy Fireplace to come and give me an estimate to fix it. They said nothing of a charge to do this estimate. After about forty five minutes he figured out what he thought was the problem. Then he slaps us with a $150 charge for looking at it. He says they will get back to me the next day with what the part will cost to fix it. After three days go by I finally had to call them. He tells me the part will be sixty dollars plus another forty to put it in. He also tells me the part will be in next week. Next week comes and goes and not a word from them. I call them and he tells me they have the part and someone would call to schedule a time to stop out. No one calls so I call again. Now they tell me they don't have the part and they're having a hard time finding it. Finally another week goes by and they have the part and send someone out. He brings some newbie trainee with him that just stands there and hands him tools. He takes about two hours to get it done. When he finishes he gives my wife a bill for $250 instead of the $100 agreed upon before he came. When we protested it he gives us this big excuse about how long it took him to get it done and that he had labor time for two people. We gave them the agreed upon $100. He left. The fireplace worked for about 2 hours and then broke again. These idiots actually had the nerve to bill me for the remaining balance. I kindly sent them a note explaining their screw up and told them we'll talk about the balance when I have a fireplace that works. I never heard from them again. The least they could have done was pick up their cigarette butts off my driveway that they left!!!
