The work went very well and there were no issues.
They left the hole open in the back yard.
That was all the work they did.
The company wants another $8,000.00 for that work. I am now in litigation.
"This letter is generated in response to [removed member name]’s allegations. It always amazes me how these online opinion polls can slander good companies and no background check is ever done on the comments that are made. There are many errors in what she claims and I will respond to all of her comments. First, we are NOT a septic tank company. We are an oil and gas tank removal company which also handles environmental clean ups. [removed member name] hired us to remove her underground oil tank. We took out the permits, scheduled the inspections and removed her tank. Upon inspection, the code enforcer failed her tank because of corroded holes in her tank and contaminated soil. At no charge to [removed member name], I consulted with two of her homeowner insurance companies to try and have them pay for the clean-up, I provide this service for free to all of my customers. To ensure we do not do anything for her insurance company to deny her claim WE MUST leave the tank on site and leave the void open for the insurance carrier to inspect (this is something that was explained to [removed member name] and she understood). After three weeks of the carriers running the investigation it was determined that she did not have coverage. We then were asked by [removed member name] to provide her with an estimate to remove the contaminated soil. We did and she agreed on the price and signed our proposal. We also waved her $1900.00 deposit on the clean-up as a courtesy to her because she claimed that she had very little money at the time. We then began our remediation. We had a two man crew out at her site with three machines and we worked a total of five 10 hr days. At that time I approached her with regards to her deposit and an approximate cost of what her clean up would be. She said she had no money and told us to take our equipment off her property. For the past two years we have been contacting her for the money she owes us on her signed contract for the work that we did, and she refuses to pay us. Tank Masters had to file a law suit, not [removed member name]. We met one time in court and her attorney advised us that she has no money and will file bankruptcy."
The job was well done. The only issue was a longer delay between signing the contract and getting the work done. True they needed to coordinate with the town for permitting and inspection, but it took much longer than anticipated and I had time constraints.
