Jim went above and beyond. We have a cathedral ceiling that had to come down in order to do the spray foam. He hooked us up that night with a carpenter that could do the work. Provided a quote for all before leaving, and then coordinated all of the work to minimize the length of our disruption. There was also some damage done by accident and they made sure it was repaired.

Would have rated this company lower because I had an issue with the install, and scheduling delays; but the owner was amazing. Not only did he take the time to explain fully the different products (what I needed and why). He was able to locate the problems I had and gave me a solution for those problems. He did not hesitate to personally resolve the concerns and issues I had.

Do not go with this company. They sprayed when it was 8°. The foam didn't adhere well at all and now I'm going through hell with them and the manufacture. This is what I wrote to superior and thermoseal. March 5th, 2019 I had Superior installation, spray Thermoseal 1200 on the roof deck, and gabel ends of my barn. I am writing to you because I have concerns of density irregularities, poor adhesion, cracks, voids and delaminions. On the day of the installation, the temperature ranged from 8-11 degrees, and the humidity ranged from 57%-68%, which I have included a weather data sheet of March 5th, 2019. (See attached) Upon further research of the physical properties from the thermoseal website, my substrate should have been 40 degrees or warmer. To my knowledge, there were no humidity, or temperature checks on the substrate while installing. According to the website, the spray form should be an amber color, mine is a off-white yellowish color. (See attached) I am providing you my contract, and test samples to clarify that what I agreed on is what I paid for. Jim from Superior told me that this was 60% closed, 40% open foam which is contradictory to the specifications on the website. This is suppose to be a semi ridged, medium density foam, and it makes me nervous when I can easily press my finger through to the substrate. After testing the foam samples, I hope you will be able to tell my R value per inch, the density of the foam, if the chemical mixture was correct, and if this was installer error or manufacture defects. I am also sending a copy of this to Jim at Superior, when he came for a site visit he was unconcerned, and his remedy was to fill with a can of grate stuff. I would like to register for a warranty, can you please inform me on how to do so? The website stated that the open cell content is 97% or more, and another page on the site said 50% or more. Can you help me understand the difference?
Response from Williamstown Construction Superior Insulation
"Under the "My Profile" tab above are pictures posted of Peter P. [Consumer name withheld at their request] project. Mr. P.was given a quote to install 2 lb. closed cell foam on his project at his request which he declined stating it didn't fit within his budget. He also inquired with us as to whether or not there was a way we could insulate the project and still meet his budget requirement. He was given an alternative quote to use 1.2 lb. spray foam at an increased thickness which would match the R-Value of the first quote but still fall within the parameters of his budget. The project was sprayed on a cold day in March. A few days after the project was completed Mr. P. called me with concerns. I went back out to his project to review the work. At that time I took pictures of the project including two of the three small areas which needed attention. These 3 areas comprise less than 1% of the job. I explained to Mr. P. that this happens from time to time during cold weather application, that I did not see any cause for great alarm as it is covered under warranty and I would be happy to send the crew back out to make repairs. To date I have been nothing but courteous to Mr. P. and I have made no less than 6 attempts via telephone or voicemail message to come out and repair the 3 small areas that need to be addressed all of which have unfortunately been refused by Mr. P. To put things into perspective, Mr. P.s job consisted of 1152 square feet of area to be sprayed at 2 1/2" thickness. The areas that need to be repaired consist of less than 3 square feet of total area. Today upon seeing this review I have again called Mr. P. requesting to come back out to make repairs at no charge as they are covered by our warranty. I have not nor will I request that this bad review be removed. I would much rather have my potential customers understand that none of us are perfect which is why for 3+ decades we have always warrantied our work. It is there for your protection and we honor it. Sincerely, James Hottum, Vice President."
