Extremely Dissatisfied with Overcharging and Ignored Service Requests I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by The Vinyl Outlet. Not only did they overcharge me by 10 feet of fence, but they also completely ignored my repeated service requests regarding the unlevel fence they installed. After several attempts to tell them, they sent Jake out to measure, and he confirmed that they overcharged me by 10 feet but still did not return calls or send out anyone to fix the fence. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. To make matters worse, the quality of their workmanship could be better. The fence they installed is noticeably uneven, with sections that are clearly higher or lower than the others. I promptly contacted The Vinyl Outlet to address this issue along with the overcharge the day after the installation over three weeks ago, but to my dismay, my service requests and request for a refund for the overcharge have been met with complete silence or false promises. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to Jake, Vickie, and The Vinyl Outlet via phone, but they have consistently ignored my pleas for assistance and a refund for the overcharge. It is absolutely unacceptable for a company to avoid its responsibility and disregard its customers in such a manner. As a paying customer, I expected professionalism, honesty, and a commitment to rectifying any issues. Regrettably, The Vinyl Outlet has failed on all fronts. Their lack of communication and refusal to acknowledge and resolve the problem has left me frustrated, inconvenienced, and feeling cheated. I strongly advise anyone considering using The Vinyl Outlet to think twice before making such a costly mistake. Their overcharging practices and utter disregard for customer service are red flags that should not be ignored. There are plenty of other reputable fence companies out there that will provide fair pricing, quality workmanship, and excellent customer support. In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with the services provided by The Vinyl Outlet. Their overcharging and failure to address my concerns about the uneven fence have left a sour taste in my mouth and no other options. I hope this review serves as a warning to potential customers and prompts The Vinyl Outlet to reconsider its customer service and satisfaction approach.

I contracted vinyl outlet to install a privacy fence and gate at my house. The day they came, they showed up with the wrong plans, they installed the wrong gate, they left a mess in the backyard, and, they damaged my neighbors property.

It was good. They got back to me whenever I have questions and issues. They are little bit pricy but they were good.

Project was done in winter. It was cold, but the guys did a great job. The railings went from a wrought iron eyesore to beauty.

Our neighbor had them do work several months ago and the job was no completed to their satisfaction. the porch still leaked into the basement. They had made multiple call to have the job repaired, they received NO return calls.

I posted a review on this site on May 26, 2017. As of today, the solar light issue has been taken care of as The Vinyl Outlet has sent us a new replacement light. Thank you Vinyl Outlet for taking care of this situation.

We had a fence installed last week by Tony and we are so pleased. He was courteous, explained what he'd be doing, answered all of our questions and the final product was perfect! He takes a great deal of pride in what he does and it shows!

I don't think this company knows how to install gates they destroyed my parents $10,000 driveway and refused to repair the damages that they caused to their own work having to take it down multiple times to repair it !now they won't fix it because it's beyond their 90 day warranty but they never fix the problem in the first place

Everything went great. Started the job within the time frame they said they would. gave me all sorts of options and opinions, which is what I needed and glad I took their suggestions. Any issues were resolved immediately and always got a response or call back when I had a question. Porch came out beautiful... Everyone was very professional.

The salesman that came said he was the owners son. I don't remember his name. He didn't tell me any of the options available to me unless I asked. It was not long before they came and installed the gate or the railing. I had ordered bronze solar caps for the front railing but they said they were on order and would it be ok if they put the beige ones on to match the railing. They told me when the bronze ones came in they would switch them. ok, no problem until one of the solar caps stopped working. They told me to put in a new rechargeable battery and it should work. Ok, now the winter is over and I called back (5/17/15) because when you opened my gate it didn't open smoothly. The hinge slipped down. They came on a Saturday to repair that. They never told me they were there, I happened to see their truck in front of my house. Unfortunately when I immediately went out to talk to them they were pulling away. I went to check on the gate post and they had drilled additional holes to move the latch and the holes are visible. So now I have extra holes in the post. I forgot to mention that when they first installed the gate the latch didn't work so they had to install a new latch. Now, for the solar caps. When I called on 5/17/15 I also told them the light still didn't work even with the new batteries. Alvin told me I had to contact the manufacturer. The Vinly Outlet doesn't replace them. I asked for an 800# and was told they didn't have one. I was told I would have to write to them. So I looked online and found the email address and the 800#. I emailed them, they told me to send back the one that wasn't working and they would replace it. I had a new one within 1 week from the manufacturer, not the Vinyl Outlet. I still have never gotten the bronze solar caps I originally ordered. And Alvin never got back to me like he said he would. I wanted to have a fence put around my patio but I will NEVER do business with the Vinyl Outlet again.

patrick, the sales rep.showed up on time on two occassions. the first time for the estimate, at which time he came across as hurried, and brash, as well as dismissive of my attempts to relate to him what my concept was he firmly stated that he had his own method of interpreting my concept. he gave short answers to my questions and emphatically stated that he was not an installer and would leave it up to the installers to decide how it will be done. when patrick returned to finalize the contract a week or so later he was again abrupt, rushed, and pushy. when i asked him to write up my request to level the porch overhang with the column which they were to install along with the railings and posts, which would have been necessary to properly support the overhang, he again became dismissive and said adamantly he would not write that in; added that he cant work with me, then abruptly turned away and left. he beat me to the punch terminating this interaction. i feel his behavior was not professional as well as rude. he casts a dark shadow over his employers image. he should be reinstructed or retrained or something. i could go on, but ii have other things to do.

We signed a contract on January 21st and they came in later. When the snow melted, the fence was maybe 7 inches from the ground and you could see the steel or whatever they put under the plastics. It was a mess and I called them many times and every time they gave a promise, they didn't come out. They don't respond to complaints. I'm still waiting for them to come out. They are nice on the phone.

They were very fast and they do quality work.

the job only took 2 days to complete. Workers were professional and cleaned up very well. finished product looks very nice. I opted for beige. Salesman was very helpful too. He recommended a custom gate to complete the look, and he was right-took his recommendation and the gate looks fantastic.

Did not use do to no show for estimate. Went with B and B fence. Thanks

We were happy with their service. They just did a good job.

Their installation methods and materials are different than any other installer I spoke with (about six). They refused to provide a written procedure for my inspection plus they had no documentation to back up their claims of superior installation processes except their word. Since they are a single source supplier of materials and labor, as opposed to a national brand such as BuffTech or others, I decided there was to much risk involved in choosing this contractor.

The man who gave us the quote said a few wrong things - like they could lower the deck, no spaces between floor boards, a color choise and promised us 2 solar lights if was signed the deal that day - which we did. He never wrote the lights on the contract. So, it took 3 phone calls to get those lights, but they are on now. I also requested not to have the work done on a Wednesday, but I gave in when they called the day before. The two workmen were very nice and even helpful with our two dogs when they needed potty breaks. They also made a few suggestion that help with my disable husband. Two days after the work was done - we got 8 inches of snow and the deck floor wasn't slippery at all. All in all the price is a little high, but the look is really nice - and not to have to paint, hammer in popped nails or repair lattace work again - I think it is worth it. Plus, now it is safe for my husband to sit out there in the nice weather!

They were prompt and they came on time. They were professional. Vinyl railings are guaranteed as long as they are in business. Anything happens to it you never have to replace anything. You do it once and it is done. It is life time. Their products are expensive. They quoted $4500 and they said they would knock off $500 if I do the front porch and the side porch at the same time. So they quoted $4000 for both. I just thought it is so expensive for such a small area and I thought they were off the hook. I don't know if I want to throw another $4500 into this after doing all the concrete. Price wise I think they are very high. Again they said that would give it for a lower price if I could find somebody to install it. I think I may try some other company in the future.

Last year I contacted them for an estimate to install a vinyl fence at my new house. After 30 minutes of waiting around after my appointment time, I called them asking where they were. They seemed to be clueless as to my appointment to meet with them and said it would be another hour before they could have someone come out and meet me. When they did finally show up, a kid (literally maybe 20 years old) gets out of a 2 door coupe with torn jeans. I was pretty much speechless. He did the estimate right on the spot with minimal information (I could picture the final costs skyrocketing past my estimate if I was dumb enough to choose them). Needless to say, I went with someone else. Unfortunately, the company I went with has turned out to be probably 10 times worse then if I had gone with Vinyl outlet (see my review of Guardian Fences). Because I this fact, I was looking to get some other fence work done this year. My disgust with Guardian Fences had me again seeking out fence contractors. Reluctantly, I called The Vinyl Outlet again to see if they would do any better this time with giving me an estimate. When I called, they said they were very busy and that it could take up to 2 weeks to have someone get back to me to do the estimate. After 3 weeks had gone by, I called them again to find out when someone would be getting to me. All I got was the run around via an automated phone answering system. I felt like I was calling customer service to some huge corporation, not the local fence contractor. After following the correct prompts I was sent to some womans voicemail, which was full and no longer accepting messages. I called back to leave a message in their general mailbox. Over a month later, I am still waiting on that call back. This company has either expanded and not hired enough people to support their larger business or they just don't care. Either way, I won't be calling them ever again.
