It took a while to get an estimate, was submitted and approved by the insurance company, I paid the insurance deducible to them. They said they would start in 30 - 45 days and complete in 30 days. They came back and said they under estimated the cost of materials, they submitted the change to the insurance company who declined the increase. I allowed them to delete part of the scope to stay within the insurance payment. Eight months later, after monthly reasons for not starting "to busy, can't get a subcontractor, need to measure again, windows on order" they demanded a 50% deposit up front and the materials are not in or work scheduled. I sent them the article that Angie's List sent out warning of roofing scams they "are backing away from the project and are going to bill me for the materials"

Scott arrived at the scheduled time, as agreed, and quickly assessed the damage. He documented the roof, drywall and electrical issues. Additionally, he checked for hidden problems such as wet drywall or insulation and potential mold issues. Based on his report the insurer settled my claim in less than a week.
