bought my car to this shop for the yearly inspection. have used the shop once before to purchase tires . after dropping off the car the shop calls me a few hours later letting me know that some work is needed to pass the inspection. when I arrive there my car is up on the lift and the tech shows me the work that is needed. there is no doubt that they have correctly found the defects on the car that need to be fixed. the dispute that I have with them is being told that themajor part that needs to be replaced , the rear passenger trailing link, is a and quot;dealer onlyand quot; part that goes for around $135. along with estimates for the other work the total needed was close to $350. I made arrangements to bring the car back next weekend to allow the shop to get the and quot;dealer onlyand quot; part. well I went home and checked the auto parts store that I always use. turns out the and quot;dealer onlyand quot; part is available as on OEM part for $24.99, much less than the $115. from youtube I find out the install of the part is straight foward and easy. IN the end I do all the work myself for $6o in parts . but I donot go back to City Tire for the inspection sticker because I found the shop had broken the hood release bracket off of the floor of my car. I went to another shop that I have used to complete the inspection for another $37. I would not recommend City Tire for any work. Thank you Angies list.

I've been dealing with City Tire Auto Center for many many years. I've brought my car to them for servicing. I just recently had them install a new battery. I've always been satisfied with them. They have excellent technicians, a good showroom, and service. And they are prompt.

The price included the labor and they checked to make sure the alternator was charging the battery properly . They kept the old battery to environmentally dispose of it.

They are very good and polite. They always take me back to your car and show me what they are going to do. I believe they do 100% great work. They use the best parts to go in your car, you know that you are getting good product and oil.

The tires I got from them were good. However, I got those tires because that was what they had for my car. They didn’t have a variety of tires. They weren’t the cheapest.

They are very fair with their price. They don t try to tell you something you really don t need. They are very upfront and prompt. When they tell you that they will have it ready it s ready. They usually can get you right away and you don t have to wait long to take your vehicle in.

When I called I got an "out the door price", as John called it, for two tires at the above price. I had the work done and when I got home I noticed a charge on my invoice for $11.90 indicated as TIRE PACKAGE PLAN #2-NO ROAD HAZARD. I called them and John told me it was for tire insurance, which they never mentioned originally nor gave me the chance to refuse. When I told John I didn't want it he then said it was for mounting and balancing the tires. I reminded him of his ad which states "Free Computer Wheel Balance, Tire Valves, Installation and Lifetime Rotation" and was told since I didn't show them the ad when I purchased the tires I wasn't entitled to the free service. I told him it doesn't say that in the ad nor was the offer designed as a coupon. I went there to show him his ad and was now speaking to Steve who said the same thing. After I mentioned contacting Consumer Affairs they returned my $11.90 plus tax. I was very surprised at this treatment since I've been doing business with them for a number of years and recommended at least three families. Needless to say neither I nor the people I recommended will go back there again.
