Our project was to remodel the 1st floor of our house. This is the details of what was completed: we swapped the kitchen and dining room; put hardwood floors down throughout; replaced 3 interior doors with solid pine doors; replaced the front entry door; removed and reinstalled our storm door; replaced our old aluminum siding with vinyl siding; all new lighting and outlets in the kitchen and dining room; all new plumbing to support the new kitchen location; all new sheetrock in the kitchen, dining room and part of the living room; painting throughout the 1st floor; moving windows from one location to another; installing brand new window; installing new ventilation; sound proofing power room; new molding throughout the 1st floor; new supports for porch roof; and installing the new kitchen cabinets. We arranged for the cabinets for the kitchen ourselves but Jason reviewed the plans for completeness. Jason installed all the kitchen cabinets when they arrived at the house. We also remodeled our powder room which included all new plumbing fixtures and cabinet. Jason was in control of all the subcontractors from beginning to the end and the whole project was completed on schedule. The project actual start date was 03/12/2012 and was official finished on 04/21/2012. For the amount of work that was completed our friends and us can't believe it was completed so quickly and with such quality. Jason had one employee, Dan, with him for the duration of the project. Dan had lots of enthusiasm that match his bosses.
Description of Work: Jason Garner is the owner of the Maple Hill Contracting. He is the one that provided all the estimates required. He engaged and scheduled several subcontractors each of which provided excellent quality work and on schedule. The subcontractors included the following categories: sheetrock tapers, painters, electrician, plumber and exterior siding installer. Before deciding on Maple Hill Contracting we attempted to obtain estimates from 5 different companies. Only 2 companies provided us with written estimates and his was the lowest bid. Of the 2 bids his was the most detailed and complete. He also brought much enthusiasm with him when he was looking over our project. We also contacted several of his references which all provided glowing recommendations. They are were from well know individuals in our community. Jason has the means to bring in quality subcontractors when required. This also tells me that they like working for him because of his organizational skills and ability to pay for their services timely. This subcontractors comments about Jason were always exceptional. Would we hire Maple Hill Contracting again? Yes, we would and will.
