Greg's Handyman Service and Contracting

Greg comes across like a great guy at first, and provides a slew of names of people as "references." However, once he gets started, one can see his skills are not as advertised or up to par. He was scattered, messy, couldn't perform basic carpentry without taking way longer than most (or just not ever doing it - he never completed my job). He disappeared for weeks at a time, dragging out a job that was to be concluded in under 2 weeks to about 6 months. He would call with a major drama excuse for why he wasn't on the job ("trailer fell on him, convalescing at girlfriends home in Canada"; or "had a nervous breakdown" over something the girlfriend did). On an unplanned emergency pipe issue he seemed like he fixed it but then a week later it would be a bust again with mess everywhere - and he never made that right. We liked him as a human being and tried every way we could to be patient and work with him on his time-issues, and even on his messing up and having to redo cabinets, trim or flooring/linoleum tile work, but ultimately, he just threw his hands up before the job was finished and quit, leaving a big unfinished mess behind him. It's a shame to have to say this, but BUYER BEWARE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.
