"We were impressed with Paul and his son! Very nice people. They do great work. They were neat and Paul communicated well. The only thing people should know is that their windows will need major cleaning when the tinting drys. I didn't realize the windows would be so smudgy afterwards. I had just spent alot of money to have my windows cleaned a couple of months earlier. I would have liked to have known this in advance so I could hire them to come back & clean the tinting. I wasn't able to get them back to do so as I couldn't get a call back. But they were very good other than that."

"Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. I rest assured that 1st Security would never do something so foolish and greedy. They're good, honest people, and this is something that's unfortunately hard to find in the alarm business. "Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
