Greenpoint Tree Service was terrific! I had a very large maple tree that split off a cluster of trees in a high wind storm. The tree was wedged high up on other large trees in my backyard. My concern was that this tree could come crashing down on my large 500 gallon propane tank. My call was promptly answered by Tom, and he arrived one hour later to assess the damage. Work was scheduled the following day. They were quick to respond, very professional and did excellent work. I highly recommend this company.

We had a weeping cherry that was dying from a fungal disease and overhanging our neighbors walking path. Tom was very responsive to our phone call and made an appointment to take a look. He gave us an on the spot proposal, which was quite reasonable. He also emailed us a detailed proposal soon after his visit. He timed the removal for when it would be least disruptive to any street traffic. They also chipped it, once removed. The men worked as a team most efficiently and safely near power lines. The grounds were immaculate after their cleanup. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We needed about 11 trees of different sizes removed from our property, some were damaged in storms while others were rotting away. Tom came in and gave us a lot of information. He emailed us a quote quickly and was also quick to reply my emails and/or calls. Once the work started, Tom, Sebastian and their crew worked efficiently and extremely fast, we were very impressed on how quickly the project was completed. They also cleaned up the entire site, removing any sawdust and debris from the tree removal. They were also very patient with uncooperative neighbors, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Once the project was completed, Tom walked me through the site. A gate was removed in order to fit some equipment and the crew returned the gate to its original position without a problem. I would use and recommend Greenpoint to anyone who need professional and efficient services.

Sebastian and his worker were fabulous. Arrived right on time, did a great job trimming our very large pin oak and took away all the refuse. You wouldn't know they were even there. Quality work at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be having him back.

Outstanding!!! These guys are terrific and did a wonderful job at every step of the process. From Tom's help with the permit application to Sebastian being flexible with changes on the job, I would highly recommend them. Watching Sebastian climb the trees was amazing. And I felt very confident that they knew completely what they were doing and were in control all the time. Never did I think anything might come down on my house for example. The team of three workers and Sebastian had a great plan with every tree and the best way to take it down or trim it. No broccoli stalks left on my property! :D And these brothers are lovely people as well. Couldn't be happier that I chose Greenpoint Tree!

Greenpoint Tree Service wasn't the lowest or the highest bidder. But they spent time with me prior to the bid talking about possible ways to access the yards and take down the tree, while minimizing risk to the lawn and other trees. We talked about pruning other trees while they were there, and they were the only ones who recommended waiting until the fall. They also had to move some boulders to access and remove the cut wood, and they replaced the boulders in a way that was even better than before. Very professional crew and work!

I was referred to Greenpoint from a friend after consulting with 4 other companies and Tom immediately understood what we were trying to accomplish and was very proactive in making recommendations that balanced the scope of work and our budget. He had indicated that it would take approximately 3 days and went over all of the details so that we knew what to expect with such a large job. He also assured us that he would treat the job as if it were his own property and leave everything as clean as possible. Tom called a few days before to confirm the date we had a greed upon and the crew showed up on time and completed each stage exactly as promised. When I returned home on the final day to find the job completed I couldn't believe how clean the property was! All of the saw dust was cleaned up and the front lawn which had 15 trees removed was nicely leveled out. There were absolutely no complaints and I expect to bring them back next year to remove a few more trees.

I am very pleased with the entire process and I would hire Greenpoint again. Tom Slizowski, the owner, was very thorough in assessing the scope of the work. We walked around my property three times so that Tom could figure out how he would tackle each part of the job. Tom quickly provided a written, detailed proposal via email, and priced the work competitively. The work was scheduled very quickly, only one week after our initial meeting. Tom, Sebastian and their crew arrived on time to perform the work. They mapped out a plan to do the tree take downs safely and with minimal impact to the rest of the yard. Because several of the trees were at the back of my property, these tree experts had to climb the trees and cut them down piece by piece. All branches and pieces of the trunks of the trees were lowered by rope or safely dropped to the ground. There was no damage to my house nor to nearby trees. They used large plastic mats to protect the lawn from their motorized equipment. Sebastian deftly climbed the trees to trim branches and he did not use spikes on his shoes, therefore avoiding damage to the tree's trunk. The crew cleaned up the yard, removing branches, sawdust and debris from the take downs. Greenpoint Tree and Crane Service was able to get all of the work done in one day. The crew seemed to only run the chipper when they were using it. Other tree services who have worked in my neighborhood seem to let their chipper run constantly, creating unnecessary noise. From start to finish, I was positively impressed by the service by Greenpoint Tree and Crane Service.

The tree that was removed was gigantic!  More than 100 feet high, and (I measured the stump this morning) 40" wide.  I had serveral estimates on getting this job done, but received the best price from Tom.  I have only positive comments about GreenPoint.   Once we were able to establish a day to have the work done they were prompt.  They took great care not to damage my property (the tree was in the corner with a fence very close on two sides).  They did not rush the job, and were careful with every limb they brought down.  Nothing was dropped or hit the ground hard.  (I say this as recently my neighor had two large trees removed, and my house was shaking all day because they dropped heavy limbs and it was disturbing).  Tom was also kind enough to take down a small dead tree for me and remove it with no additional cost, and I was very grateful.  Once the tree was removed the cleanup was impressive.  I think my yard looked cleaner after they left than it was originally.  Even my neighbor was very happy as they clean part of his yard too (and  believe me it takes a lot to keep this guy happy!).  This was absolutely a wonderful experience.  In the future, if I need more tree work done I will not be wasting my time with others, but going directly to Tom to get my work done.  I highly recommend Greenpoint Tree Service, in my opinion you will not find a better, or more professional tree service anywhere!

While searching for a tree service contractor on Angie's List, I came across a review in which a lady wrote that she was sorry she had wasted so much time researching different contractors because after meeting Tom from Greenpoint Tree Service she realized she didn't need to meet anybody else.  It was this review, along with many other excellent reviews, that led me to contact Greenpoint and today I can say I could not have made a better decision.
From our first meeting I could tell that Tom was an honest contractor who was passionate about his job and genuinely cared about pleasing his customer.  After reviewing what had to be done, he gave me an estimate which I felt to be a fair price for the work. Without hesitation, and without asking for any other bids, I gave him the job.
On the day we had scheduled Tom arrived on time along with his brother Sebastian, a strong, agile and skilled tree cutter, two hardworking and efficient workers and some very impressive trucks and equipment.  They took down one tall tree and five smaller ones and then began the difficult and time-consuming job of pruning the four large remaining trees on the property.  Together, Tom and I reviewed each tree, branch by branch, to ensure that we not only got rid of all the dead branches but that we also restored the openness and views I once had.  Tom's insightful suggestions were very much appreciated.  The team was very organized and conscientious and they left the place spotless and beautiful.  
I would recommend them whole-heartedly to anyone who wants a job well done and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

These guys were awesome. They not only cleaned up the downed trees but also surveyed the rest of the property and gave me an assessment on other potential tree issues. They were extremely careful to not damage our lawn or my daughters playground. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

Tom and Sebastian were very responsive from the first inquiry to the actual removal of the trees. They admitted that it was probably the most difficult job they'd done and it went off without a hitch - thanks to their careful planning and execution. They were always upfront about cost (the original estimate did change because of the complexity of the removal), but we were part of the discussion and there were no surprises. I would highly recommend this company!

We couldn't be more pleased with Greenpoint Tree Service.  We called
them on a Tuesday morning to inquire about removing a large storm
damaged tree in our back yard.  Sebastian responded to our call in minutes
and within an hour he was on site to assess the work needed.  
We scheduled the work for the Friday of that week.  He and his brother
Tom were at the house at 8:00 AM sharp with their team ready to go to work. 
They removed the tree and all the debris without any mishap and left the
work site spotless.  
They are knowledgeable, reliable, highly skilled and at all times
very professional. 
We will use Greenpoint for our future tree care needs.

Sabastian,Thomas ,and support crew arrived on time and went right to work They were super professional and every person knew their assignment and carried on without direction.The entire operation was done quickly and efficiently with impressive equipment.. Sabastian volunteered excellent suggestions which showed a real sense of proprietorship in going above and beyond. The  continuous and final clean up was impressive and I certainly would hire them again without hesitation..

Tom and his crew were great - he very was prompt in returning my calls and was upfront with the process, scheduling and costs.    We had 3 trees removed from our property with one of trees being a very large oak tree close to our house.   Tom explained the tree removal process in great detail which helped put our nerves as ease.   Tom and his crew showed up on time and were professional, friendly and hardworking - they cleaned up the property to a tee after the trees were removed.    We highly recommend Tom and will use his services in the future.

Everything went according to plan--Tom, Sebastian and their crew were polite, efficient, and did the job well with no incident.  They communicated everything well at the beginning of the process and they kept me informed during the day  of how things were going--Including that there was another small dead tree, which we had not seen earlier, leaning on one of the trees being removed.  They then took down that tree, as well, at no extra charge (since it was within the window of time for which I had paid).

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Green Point Inc. Tree Service for several reasons.
We contacted Green Point for an estimate for a VERY tall, very dead tree in our front yard.  This was not an easy job as this tree towered over several power lines and its branches hung over two houses.
Tom and Sebastian and the rest of their crew did a phenomenal job!  Very professional, with all the proper trucks and equipment.  They sent several guys who worked as a very efficient team to get the job done right, safely, without any damage to the very nearby power lines and property and worked in a timely fashion.
They cleaned up throughly- leaving not even a wood chip in sight when they were done!  They even went out of their way to pay attention to  extra little details like putting back up our fence posts we had taken down for them in preparation of them coming and taking some branch  debris off of our roof that was on our roof PRIOR to them ever touching our tree!
And finally their price was the best after several estimates.  It was actually almost HALF the price of one competitor and not even close to the higher price of other estimates. I wish I had saved my time and went with these guys from the beginning instead of wasting my time with estimates from nearby competitors.  
Will be recommending the licensed and insured Green Point to all of my family and friends and anyone looking for tree trimming or removal services- best price, professional job, nothing but easy to work with!

Excellent job. They took care of several trees on the back, side and front yard of the house. Tom gave us his recommendation and safe us money (and tree life) since we were determined to cut a way lot more, but he was very honest on his recommendation of not to do it, even against this economical interest.  That is really rear to find.  Very fair price and excellent attention to details. Clean and organized.  I will definitely recommend this company and of course, we will use again, and again and again.... Thanks!
