My project was to replace my old wood deck with a new composite deck. After having multiple contractors come to house to submit a bid we chose George. George wasn't the lowest bid, nor was he the highest bid, but there was something about George that was immediately apparent, he is a conscientious professional. George was the only one that brought sample materials with him at the time he came to measure and talk about the project. George was also the only one who brought pictures of multiple similar projects. The pictures turned out to be very important for me. While looking at the pictures of the various projects I was able to pick out features from several of the other projects George completed, and incorporate them into my project. George took the time to explain the pros and cons to some of my questions. George is a fantastic skilled professional who takes his responsibility to the project very seriously. His work is second to none. I have many other projects around the house that need attention, George will be my only call. I truly hope you will choose George for your project, you will not be sorry.

George contacted us quickly and came to look over our project (replace ramp to shed and replace stairs to deck) and give an estimate. He completely the work quickly and skillfully. He was pleasant to deal with and efficient. We would definitely contact him again.

First, I have to say he showed up when he said he would. However, when we spoke about having the deck repainted he verbally told me it would last at least another 4-5 years. Now, when we did the deck ourselves a couple of years ago, we used Deckover from Home Depot, the sandy looking paint. Looked nice for a couple of months until it started falling off by our first snow storm. So we were stuck with a cruddy deck. Last year, October of 2017, we called George Juhank through Home Advisor. He had 5 stars, 24 reviews...great!!! right??? No, not so great. We asked him how much would it cost to put on treks...over 15k, something we couldn't afford. So we asked if it was worth painting and would it stick considering we had Deckover on it. He said "Yes, no problem, we clean, we powerwash, then paint, last you 4-5 years" is what he said. He also recommended we change out the footboards to the staircase, so we agreed and did that too. So off to work they go on October of 2017. Color was beautiful, paint color chosen was horrendous at first but eventually settled for next darker color on chart which came out beautiful, but guess what??!! Started peeling right after our first winter storm in December. Then once our winter of 2018 thawed, I was in complete disappointment. Paint peeled everywhere, even on the brand new stairs he installed, so he couldn't blame it on our deck being too old as he tried to. He had no explanation to why that happened, just kept blaming that the wood was not good and that he doesn't have an "X-ray machine" to see how old it is. Well, can't tell you how LIVID that comment made me. I asked him "ok...then explain to me why the paint was peeling off the brand new footboards you installed"?? I think he forgot about those. He came to take a look and he did. He only offered to repaint the footboards and that he is not going to do the deck over again. Well, that just made my husband mad and he told him that he will just give him the bad review. He turned to my husband and said if you do that, "I will sue you"...can you believe that!!?? He will sue us for giving a bad review...my husband showed him the door. Just a few more things I did not like about him was the fact that he never sent me a quote, just a verbal amount over the phone and never left a receipt.. I had to ask for one. Another side note - he did use two coats of paint, my husband was watching them work and he insisted on using the cabot brand...beware, the color charts are very off.

George was on time, very pleasant, and did great work! I would recommend him highly.

High quality work on a dock rebuild project. Very easy contractor to work with, committed to giving the customer what he wants.

He was punctual and thorough. He discussed the project in full and was very informative and professional.

George did "whatever he had to" to make me satisfied. He is an excellent carpenter and will make adjustments to the project in order to accommodate your budget. I was very satisfied with his work.

Estimate was fair, work was performed quickly and expertly. The door was built into a space that required adding to the wall to enclose the door and the completed project looks as if it was always there. The work included complete clean up, Very satisfied.

We contacted several contractors to fix a beam that had fallen on our dining room ceiling. George was the only one that knew what the problem was and had a well-thought out plan for fixing it. George will tell you, "I'm not the most expensive and I'm not the least expensive. I'm in the middle." I believe you get what you pay for and George was a GREAT value for our money! His attention to detail and perfectionism exceeded our expectations. He's good at projects both large and small. I will DEFINITELY use George again!

George is smart, fair, professional and does great work. He works efficiently and cleanly and you know he will do what he says. We will definitely use George for future work!

George was easy to work with, very professional and had good ideas for me to consider. Very detail oriented. I am totally enjoying my refurbished deck. (went from wood to trex)

George went ahead and performed work that I did not authorize ahead of time. He gave me a price for one coat of paint--which is what I requested--and instead applied two coats of paint without my permission and tried to charge me for the additional work. His workers also broke the museum glass on a painting and he refused to accept responsibility. I have used George for years for all kinds of work around my house; I will no longer use him. He does extremely high quality work, but his behavior regarding this incident was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If you're going to use him, I suggest you get an estimate IN WRITING ahead of time and hold him to it.

George is a perfectionist. His attention to detail and pride in his work made him not only a pleasure to work with, but also a contractor we could trust to exceed our expectations. I would recommend him without qualification.

GEORGE IS WONDERFUL! I needed a Portico/Porch built over my front door. George worked with my budget and still give me extras. He is an EXCELLENT contractor and gives attention to every detail. He and his crew were very professional, pleasant and always showed up when they said they would. He was reachable by phone and returned every call. He explained questions every step in the project. The job went very smoothly. The quality of his work is outstanding. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! We continue to get compliments on the work and we always give George���s information. Excellent experience from start to finish. I am very happy with everything he has done and will hire him again! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND George!

It is so refreshing to hire someone and actually have them show up and complete a job. Many contractors weren't interested because it wasn't a big enough job for them. I was very impressed with George's skills and professionalism. He showed up when he said he would and completed the job on schedule. Ten stars for George!!!

George is a very skilled professional contractor. He has the expertise that any home owner would cherish when dealing with him. My situation was a night mare and George came to my rescue. The finished product exceeded my expectations, and the contractor throughout the project communicated with me as to design and construction, and insuring I was receiving exactly what I wanted. Have already made arrangements for this contractor to return for additional projects. Would highly recommend.
