Brian's dad, Bill Bonell began All Weather Guard in 1971 as a one man operation, doing all roofing projects by himself. After 47 years of great success, his son Brian, who graduated from Hofstra University with a Business Degree, has come on board and has taken over and plans to continue in the tradition of his father for years to come. The Bonell family has replaced tens of thousands of roofs in the Long Island area while turning houses into dream homes! After hurricane Irene I noticed a leak in the ceiling of one room. I requested All Weather Guard to inspect my roof for any damage. They promptly returned my call to make an appointment and arrived when promised. After inspecting the roof they indicated that the rubber boot of the vent pipe protruding through the roof near the leak had dried out. They caulked the pipe, charging their minimum service charge ($85). I thought it was a fair price and was pleased that even though it was a small job, there was no attempt to inflate the magnitude of the job beyond what it actually was. I would not hesitate to use them for a larger job.

They came with a big truck and about 8 guys. The truck driver carelessly broke some branches off a neighbors tree. They did good work and cleaned up well. I had been promised money back for the aluminum removed (which i feel they lowballed at 150) but they later felt they had under estimated the job and requested to keep the money which i didn't really care because they did come in about a thousand lower than the next guy but still i thought it was unprofessional. Overall i was happy because the job was done well and very quick - 2 days for all.

The contractor removed the existing, aging slate shingles and replaced them with architectural shingles. On the garage roof, some areas were rotted and required new plywood underneath. The job took several days, but the workers were timely and polite and cleaned up well after it was complete. We were quite satisfied with All Weather's work.

Description of Work: I called and received estimates from several firms. I had a section of flat roofing which had a leak and was a bit old. One guy was very dramatic and coincidentally his estimate was 3x everyone else's. I found out he had done business under many different names. In any case, a very clean cut young man from this firm, son of the founder, handled the estimate and managed the job on time and on budget. This firm has been around for over 25 years. i can see why. Very professional.
